Housed in the massive and impressive postmodern 210k square foot complex, the free to visit Mesa Arts Center is home to a humongous exhibit space, five art galleries and a fascinating array of multi-use areas as well as quite a few studio classrooms. These studios where the Arizona Clay Association who welcome students, hobbyists, professionals or even the community to be involved in educational meetings, ceramics training – a fascinating endeavor around since 1967! But that’s not all, we went for an incredible showing of ‘American Glass Now: 2025’, an exhibition of some incredible ceramic and glass artists. Unique art works, styles, philosophies’ and types. A really amazing show (see my pics). Many are beyond words to describe and must be seen to appreciate. The Mesa Contemporary Art Museum is one of those venues in the Valley we frequent often for their unique, beautiful and exquisite presentations… kudos to the staff and volunteers for doing a marvelous job. We never tire of visiting you guys and being constantly amazed...

The lady at the front was friendly and welcoming to those who came. It took me a little over an hour to see everything! There were 5 rooms- National Geographic animal photographs, pinata exhibit, flora and animals exhibit, and then there were 2 more rooms each dedicated to one artist. One of them was all about birds (and the artist used wire and fabric to make those 3D models); the final room had 2 blocks on the wall -each carved with random objects in nature by an artist. It appears most if not all the exhibits are on sales. The prices range from the thousands to upwards of $40,000. Wowzers!
Overall, the museum was small but I can't complain - it's free and well-kept, and the exhibits show truly...
Read moreAn absolutely beautiful and FREE art musuem. Nestled below the Mesa Arts Center, is the Mesa Comtemporary Arts Museum. They frequently feature local artists and always have moving exhibits.
Currently they are featuring artists locally called Mother Nature.
Definitely reccomend visiting here when you're in the area and taking some time to appreciate the collection and the local artists we have.
Because the art museum is downstairs, they do have an elevator for anyone who needs to use it.
