This place is really special. Great atmosphere, incredibly good food, and the staff is always positive and nice.

It's hitting a five-star on all aspects.

It's easy to make a cheese enchilada... But it's hard to make a great cheese enchilada.... And they pulled it off. They have one of the best chili rellenos ever. It is the batter-coated style and is authentic. The sauce is great the batter is great and the pepper they de-seeded it correctly and made it very flavorful but very mild. The pepper was cooked correctly so it was not crunchy and it was not soggy either. Just right .. The chorizo and eggs are one of the best as they have the correct egg to chorizo ratio and the chorizo is not too spicy. The flavor is on par for probably one of the best chorizos I've had. There is enough egg in there so you can taste the egg and the egg has fluff to it. And then there's that shredded beef chimichanga, it's wonderful. You get the crunch and you get incredible perfectly seasoned and not overcooked shredded beef in the middle. They're tortillas are very good too and you can tell that they aren't some store-bought junk. If you get the chips and salsa you're going to want to try their hot sauce. It's one of those hot sauces that builds heat the more you eat it but it allows you to taste how flavorful the sauce is and they have a very good recipe they've come up with for it . This is a Mexican restaurant that is using tried and true recipes probably from the owner's family that are obviously tried and true and not just some cobbled up Mexican food like most places that don't feel like a lot of effort has been put in. When chili rellenos are being offered on the menu, it is usually an indicator that effort is being put in. Plus they have the Mexican Coke in the bottles and other bottle drinks plus they also have horchata. I ate here twice this week because it...

UPDATE: I came in today to order the tamales (they are only a seasonal item) First thoughts: the man that took our order (Im assuming might have been the owner??) Didn't have the greatest etiquette. His body language came across like we were a bother to be there. (This is the 1st time I've ever felt that. The employees have always been very kind. Maybe he was having an off day... not sure... anyways...)

This year, they are only offering the red pork tamales. The size of the tamale is much smaller than it is to be; how disappointing as I went to enjoy my meal.... I quickly realized that they were dry and not worth the money I paid at all. As I had a to go box, the beans and rice were both small portions as well.

Overall opinion: For what you pay... I no longer recommend this dish. My suggestion would be going to Costco and buying a pack of tamales, steam them at home, and make your own beans and rice. It's not worth the small size, dryness of the food or the smaller portions of beans and rice.

Additionally; They no longer include chips with your to go order, nor do they offer military discounts or any kind of discount/ coupon any longer. They have also increased their prices.

Shame. I don't know that I would suggest this local business the way I used to.

First review: Tried the tamales tonight. The green one is vegetarian the red is pork. I ordered both and they were so good!! I added a photo of them after I cut into each one, so you can see what the inside looks like. Try them side by side the way I ordered them, and cut into both, they complement one another and...

We went here for lunch after participating in a city wide escape room type event. It was clear the restaurants had either not been warned or weren't prepared for the crowds but we were patient. We stood in line and waited our turn and ordered at the counter. As we did that staff hurried to clear off tables so we had a place to sit. They immediately brought us our drinks and chips. We Sat and had good conversation and after a while realized we had waited for a long time. One of the staff came over with one of the 3 meals we had ordered. He sat there awkwardly for a few minutes when we encouraged him to not wait for us. After a while the same staff member came over and asked to see our receipt as there was confusion. They apologized a lot and said they would make it right. But honestly we weren't in any hurry but they probabally could have used the table. Before we knew it a staff member came back with our receipt some cash reimbursement our meals and a very large dessert for us to share. All in all we felt bad for the cluster that was going on (but realized it wasn't the restaurants fault). But the food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted completely homemade and I truly will be going back here on a day that isn't so chaotic. Everyone was extremely friendly and it could have been such an awful experience but they handled it with such amazing customer...

My wife and I have been here twice in the past few weeks. The first time we ordered a carne asada chimi and fish taco. The chimi was excellent and the meat was lean without the nasty gristle you get at a lot of restaurants and the flavor of the meat was great. My wife liked the fish taco except that it was too spicy - I'd recommend getting the spicy sauce on the side instead. You have to buy chips and salsa but they are also very good. This weekend we went for the 2nd time and shared the chicken and steak fajitas. We both thought they were the best fajitas we've every had. They only included 2 tortillas but they happily proved an additional tortilla when we asked. The service and friendliness is next level. They really want you to know you are appreciated as a customer. They have inside and outside seating for those nicer evenings. It's not their fault but parking isn't the best since there are only about 5 spots to parallel park on main otherwise you can park behind the buildings and walk around. Mango's is definitely one of our new favorite mexican food restaurants.

Mangos is a colorful and tasty standout in the main street strip. The interior is decorated in bright colors and whimsical Mexican designs. I've eaten here several times and the flavors are crave-worthy. I want to know how they make their refried beans. I've never had better anywhere. The chips (must be ordered) are the thick kind, which I love. The salsa is decent. On this outing, we had the carne asada quesadilla. Loved it! Now, for areas of improvement... Salsa comes only in a tiny bowl or an oddly small ketchup squeeze bottle. Pro-tip: take the top off or it's not coming out. Stinginess on salsa, especially when you pay extra for it, makes no sense. Plates are a little slow coming out of the kitchen. Prices are on the higher side of normal (beans and rice side for $7?).

Ordered Carne asada burrito, Carne asada fries, and 2 horchatas. Burrito was a good size, for price...it would be nice to get rice and beans. 2 employees highly recommended the Carne asada fries...they were OK. I love horchata and but it lacked cinnamon/sugar flavoring, just chalky kind of flavor...we did go there around 6 p.m and maybe that made a difference. There was one fly that just kept flying around our food, it made it for an uncomfortable eating experience. I will not return....mainly because I can't believe a restaurant with no restroom for customers....I like to wash my hands before I eat. $40 for this experience, but I can at least say I went, it's been around a while. We were surprised we weren't offered chips and salsa, even if it cost extra.
