So I called the studio and explained I could not show up for the day of free class and asked if I could do the day before. Whoever answered the phone said yes I could and booked my friend and I to come 0600 for pilates class. The instructor herself was at the front desk and said I would have to pay the class which I would not mind if once I was not told to come under the free class. Plus this was my first time going to a Pilates class so I did not know what to bring for the class. So she said I had to pay another 5$ for the towel and maybe the mattress another 5$ which was fine, but now I would have to pay 30$ for a class I have no clue what it looks like and when I asked how it was she pushed me back to sign in the other students and I was just staring there feeling very uncomfortable because she absolutely did not accept that someone had told me on the phone that was my free class. I felt very embarrassed and I lost my time coming this early for a place that clearly has poor customer service. I was willing to set up for the annual membership that has a very high cancel fee and all I wanted is to see how the class work before doing that. Not to mention that I was coming with a friend who I had to call and say I was not staying for the class not for the fact I had to pay, but how badly that person made me feel and did not answer in last than a minute if they work with equipment because she was checking in students for the class. I felt really devastated because I have just got a bad diagnose over my back problem and I was really excited for this class and start a new journey in pilates hopefully to help me to get better and in my first try this all happened. I hope this makes this place understand the bad experience they have me going through and review their approach towards new clients in the future. Please be more informative over the phone and more sensitive to new clients that like me, has no clue what pilates look like but it is really important, in particular for mental health, not shape wise. Definitely did not help my mental health at all! Be careful...
Read moreIf youre new to this studio just know they will favor the regulars. Ive been here a few times with good experiences but unfortunately that was not today. I took my friend for her first time. We set up our mats in the front corner of the class but the instructor felt it was appropriate to ask us to move because more experienced people are supposed to be in the front. Not only did she assume we were inexperienced (I've been to several hot yoga classes in the past) but she made it very uncomfortable because she insisted we need a to move so more experienced people could be in the front. Even when i insisted i chose my spot on purpose, she pressed us until we moved. Those spots were then taken up by people who she knew by name and I have seen in the past when I came. She said this in front of other people in the class and it was honestly incredibly uncomfortable.
I have never been told where to set up in a yoga class and it felt a bit like she was judging based on how we looked that we were not experienced in the class.
I guess if you're new take a spot in the back so you don't offend...
Read moreI drove all the way from fountain hills to attend a class here it is in a big shopping complex so I had a hard time finding it. I parked at 5:01 for a 5pm class and waited outside since it said studio closed on door. Someone came to door and they informed me I could not join the class late. I explained to them this was my first time here and I had trouble finding them and apologized for being late. I wish they would of made an exception because it took me over 40 minutes to drive here. I can't review on class quality, but I really felt no empathy from instructors and felt I was treated unfair. I have been to many hot yoga studios with my class pass and felt so very welcomed and included. If you go here don't be even 1 minute late or they won't let you attend class. I could understand if I was a member, but being new and not sure where studio was this has really tainted my experience with this place. Yoga should be about free spirit, understanding and love. I felt absolutely none of that here and completely embarrassed by how I...
