IHOP — Restaurant in Mesa

Can't even leave a star for the food because me and my family of 3 walked out before we even got a chance to order! The importance of the number of my family is important because it ties in to the story... Me and kids were seated in the back where there was one server, a large party and two more families. We sat for about 10 minutes... No one came. Finally the server came out. He never acknowledged us so when I screamed at him about simply getting us some drinks he put me on hold. After a few more minutes I got up, left my kids (party of 3) to get the manager. Admittedly my patience was thin at this point - I'm hungry my kids are hungry, so I was upset. I began explaining what the issue was, she began trying to hush me talking their begin families there as if I'm causing a scene. Instead of her listening to my complaint I felt like she was trying to just hush me up to save face. I eventually left because she rudely took simply my drink order and still took a long time just to produce that! All of this could have been avoided if the server could have recognized him being too busy and having someone else assist us. The manager could have been more adherent to our needs and instead of making me seem like I was in the wrong, been more compasionate to the customers needs! Won't be going there any time soon for...

Like everyone else if I could give this place a Zero I would. We decided to come here Halloween (Sunday) morning, it’s busy I get that. Then to find out half the dining area is servers in training; why would you train employees on one of the busiest days of the week? Then to wait over an hour for the food, watching tables who ordered after us get their food before us. After an hour of waiting the waitress says there are still three tickets ahead of us, I told her that we will just pay for our drinks and leave. She went to the back and some how by a miracle our food was being prepared. Another 15 minutes of waiting only half the food comes out… just the simple things though. Another 10 minutes of waiting my pancakes finally come out….undercooked.They were still gooey; I wish my pictures did it more justice. The “Buttered Toast” was barely toasted and has no butter. Unfortunately have to pay for food I’m not going to eat. Top that off as we are leaving, I hear a lady complaining that half her Togo order was not in her bag. The District Manager really needs to do something about this place. IHOP this place is...

I don’t like leaving reviews, especially not bad ones, but I had such a poor time here I feel I need to leave a review. I got here with two friends at 10pm after a concert. At the end I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just late but I’ve been to other IHOPs late at night and gotten good service. It took us about 15 minutes to be seated and when we were it took a few more minutes to even get seen by a waiter. Once we actually ordered our food and not just drinks and apps it took well over 30 minutes for it to get there. This is where I wanted to give them the benefit that it was just late. However, only one of us was left satisfied with their meal. My pancakes were less than satisfactory and didn’t even end up with everything I expected to receive with the griddle combo. My friend ended up with a hair in her food. It was small and dark and she has medium length blonde hair. None of us even have short dark hair. It was so cold my friend had to run back out to our car to get a sweater. We ended up leaving at 11:30pm and none of us even took our food home as we were extremely disappointed...
