Antonio Maceo Park — Attraction in Miami

Update: The Park is no longer clean and they no longer have workers on the weekends! The benches are filled with Duck “ stuff” and makes it harder to sit down and look at the water… This Park used to Be Clean when Elizabeth the Manager was here! It's like they don't bother to clean up the park anymore and you don't see the workers anymore ... they either need to hire more staff or actually keep the staff accountable. I remember when I used to come here to sit down and relax and they had staff outside picking up trash or sweeping ! I heard all Park attendants got a raise but for what if it's Dirtier the before ... First let me start saying I'm a local neighbor from this park. Over two year ago City Mayor Francis Suarez and this politicians Alex Diaz de la Portilla, Ken Russell, Joe Carollo, Manolo Reyes, Jeffrey Watson, Arthur Noriega, Angel R Carrasquillo started a remodeling project of the boat ramp and new restroom. $1,205,383, two years after and still not done. I'm a tower crane operator, I have seen buildings of 25 floor build in one year, sometimes less time than that. How a little boat ramp and a bathroom is not done in over 2 years with over a million dollars budget from the tax payers? I really hope they see this review and answer...

Maceo Park used to be a great gathering spot for everyone from older men sitting around playing dominoes and chess, to young kids playing on jungle-gyms and feeding ducks by the water. Now it's an eyesore and dangerous, and in perpetual construction.
