RACIST - I flew in to Coral Gables from Toronto to complete a photoshoot with a local Miami photographer as a model. I discovered La Patagonia Argentina through Groupon and was excited to try some authentic Argentinian food in Miami. Our visit was on Saturday July 1st 2017, roughly about 6/7pm. In addition to our Groupon deal, my partner and I ordered the Caprese and Caesar Salad, as well as a pint of Stella and a glass of wine. We were treated like ABSOLUTE SCUM by our waiter. Before even seating us, he attempted to deny us access by stating we needed a reservation. I proved him wrong by doing my research online about the restaurant before our visit. He ignored my requests repeatedly and my last request for ketchup was the absolute last straw. After asking for ketchup he said he would retrieve it but immediately walked away and stood by the front door ignoring my request completely. He had every other server run his food, bills and refills even with his complete fluent English. He completely disregarded us and treated us like garbage based on the color of our skin. The other servers treated us the same way. They continuously spoke in Spanish, laughed and joked at our requests and made us feel like lesser human beings. Unbeknownst to them, my mother is Panamanian, I understand Spanish very well. I cannot and could not understand how ANY hispanic/latino person can be racist to another minority group. This place is absolutely and positively racist and I will be filing a formal complaint to Groupon for our case of discrimination. Management has to be careful with the people they hire, your employees are a reflection of you as a business. You are seen as racist. The ONLY positive experience was the customers that were enjoying their dinners around the restaurant. They were the only people that made us feel comfortable eating at the restaurant.

Read moreArgentinian restaurants are known for their spectacular meat, this restaurant does not offer the best quality. I purchased the deal on Groupon and I feel we were cheated on since our parrillada for four was the same as the couple seating next to us, I asked the server if we had another portion coming since it seemed very little for four people which is what I purchased originally from Groupon to which he replied, no that's it, my friends looked at me and said Oookay we won't be coming back here ever again. The bottles of wine are very pricey for the place, better restaurants than that offer wine bottles at more accessible prices, the cheapest bottles were $29.00 Price for other dishes was not too bad Parking very limited until late when businesses next door are closed and still not enough. Service was not the best either. Hope others find this review useful and truthful since when I read reviews of the restaurant before purchasing the deal, they misled me, I don't see any reason to rate it more...
Read moreEnjoyed the salmon fettuccine in pink sauce very much! No regrets on that impulsive pick. They use a small amount of fatty cuts of salmon, which is delicious and (I feel) full of more good Omega fats. In my experience, most American restaurants and groceries don't sell these cuts, but you can find them in some ethnic groceries. And apparently at La Patagonia. Their table bread came with a delicious oil and herb mixture that was new to me. My fellow guests split (between 3 adults) the Parrillada (Skirt steak, short ribs, flap meat, sausage, blood sausage and sweetbreads - which I learned today is neither bread nor sweet) and a caesar salad. Not my kind of meat platter, but they polished it off and the two tables next to us also ordered it, so that's its own recommendation. The only less than satisfying item I found was the caesar salad; it tasted rather bitter. It's a small restaurant, but the staff is friendly enough and the...
