UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center — Attraction in Miami

What a horrific experience with ARI who was working the front desk, I will never go back to this gym again in my life. Never have I ever dealt with such incompetence nor have I ever felt the need to leave a review about an employee but this girl needs to be replaced asap because she is completely out to lunch and turning away customers. I go to sign up with me and my girlfriend to the gym. First we see one member getting disgruntled with her so then when we come up next to sign up she tells us smiling to leave that the credit card machine is down to try again another day. I work for a credit card processing company and tell her every way to fix the terminal which she refused to listen to just telling me too bad . I request to speak with a manager and she tells me there’s no one around just her. I then tell her can we pay cash or just register us in the system as members and keep our cards on file HOW ELSE WOULD ANY RECURRING MEMBERSHIP BE PAID OBVIOUSLY THE CARDS ARE ON FILE and then she proceeds to tell me that’s not how it works it’s only for recurring as if she knows what she is talking about and I don’t deal with gyms credit card processing on a daily basis that Ofcourse it isn’t only recurring billing that would work and nothing else. For some reason I thought she understood so she then adds our cards on file then just stares at us. I’m like okay we are good then and she goes no you still have to leave and try again next week AFTER having us sign waivers already and taking copies of our drivers license. Makes absolute no sense she did not try to resolve anything the whole time just telling us oh well. I even told her she has our card info and IDs she can just charge us whenever the system comes back up and still saying too bad that there’s no manager I can speak to just her. I've gone to almost every gym in Miami and hands down this is the best one ever. Here's why: It's affordable and they allow you to pay month by month. If you're a student you get a discount. They offer locker rentals for only $10.00 a month. They give you access to free work out towels and bath towels with no additional fees. They have a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room for the men and the women. They provide free parking during specific hours- 5 am- 8am and 5pm till 9 pm. They have 2 huge floors filled with equipment I've never seen before. It's all high tech stuff that the University of Miami Sports Medicine supports. None of the equipment is broken. When it is they fix it immediately whereas 24 hour fitness has a ton of equipment that's always broken. They have an in house Mediterranean cafe with great prices and a healthy menu. They offer training at only $40 /hr whereas you pay almost $60/hr at 24 hr fitness. The place has AC ! The water fountains conveniently located offer cold water all the time. The gym is always empty. Offers the best views over the 836. The sunsets are amazing. They offer all the latest classes like Zumba etc You get to work out with all the Doctors from Jackson Memorial hospital and the University of Miami hospital!! And they're super good looking. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Kristy Conway at the reception desk. Kristy's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel welcome right away. She was incredibly helpful and professional, providing all the information I needed and ensuring that I was comfortable.

Every corner of the gym was spotless, and there was always someone ensuring that the equipment and facilities were sanitized and well-maintained.
