Habitat ReStore Cape May County — Attraction in Middle Township

Items in this store are donated, most are used and very used items. They price these items like they're brand new and made of solid gold. Does this store realize that you're selling to people who mostly live paycheck to paycheck barely making it!?!? I understand that the money goes for housing for families without homes, but you can't over price these items. I saw some items that if you went to the store, you could buy them for less brand new! This store really needs to reconsider their prices! Update, since the store responded: Yes, I'm well aware of where the proceeds go and that's great. It still does not excuse that some items are the same price or more than what you would pay if you bought brand new! Also, there are those of us needing reasonably priced "used" items. If we could afford to pay "brand new" prices we would buy brand new items, that usually comes with a warranty to reflect that price! Do your items have a warranty to reflect the prices...

Missed black Friday sale but I'm sure I didn't miss much. The past six months every time I went to shop the prices were outrageous. Extensions cords brand new were cheaper at big lots right next door! Christmas ornamentswere cheaper at TJ Max. This is not a thrift store. This is not an antique store. This is not an estate sale. Like any of these stores they have what they get for free you have to be there at the right time to get anything your looking for. I find that they will not sell items of they are put into a set of someone had marked the items as such. They use ebay to price these things and have little experience in pricing used donated items. Be careful in what you buy as many items are not checked to see if they work and they're not refundable . Some of these prices are close to new priced items as well.
