Kettering Health Middletown - Emergency Center — Attraction in Middletown

We had the worst experience at Kettering Hospital this evening 5/29/2024. We went to the hospital because my 6 year old had extreme stomach pain, vomiting, and a painful throat. We checked in and had to wait 25 minutes because there weren’t any rooms available. That was not a problem until a family checked in after we did. Their son had a fish hook in his finger but was laughing and joking with his dad. And they were carrying a conversation with the front desk person about their vacation and just laughing the whole time. Right away they took him in and attended to him. My husband went up to the girl at the front desk, Brianna, and asked why they got attended first. She responded VERY rudely to my husband and also said it’s not first come first serve AND that the doctor sees those who are more important first. Our son being in excruciating pain wasn’t important? That was negligence and discrimination!!! We were upset but decided to be polite and still wait. Once we were escorted to the room, we had to wait a very long time to be seen. In all, it was a wasted trip and waste of money because really nothing could be done and the care was not what we’d thought it be. Brianna needs to learn good customer service and how to speak to patients. There was no reason for her to be rude, disrespectful, or unprofessional when my husband was polite and asked a question that he had every right to ask. Brianna needs to either be fired or go to training on how to work in a hospital and how to interact with patients. There was so much I wanted to tell her but held back. Kinda really disappointed here. Went in with an impacted ear thats was bothering me and I couldn’t make it to an urgent care in time. Went there hoping for a solution. Ended up leaving with the same problem on top of being soaking wet from the attempt to fix. They gave me a PCP referral which takes months to get into and said they tried their best…. Super… Can’t wait for the bill. Two stars because at least they were nice. Went to a little clinic this morning and they fixed...

One star because they do not respect people's privacy. I asked for a woman to take an x-ray for me. They actually brought a woman for me, but there was a man in the x-ray room and they did not inform me of his presence until I heard him speaking after I was under the x-ray machine. This is unacceptable to me because he was with us in the same room. What is the point of bringing me? A woman would take my x-ray if a man was...
