Sat down and when the server Abraham asked if we wanted drinks. We told him we were ready to order. Abraham then asked if we were going to order. My husband said jokingly we'll yeah that's why we sat down and said we were ready to order. I could tell he was confused and I didn't know if it was because he was just getting the drinks for another server. I asked are you going to be our server. Suddenly an angry blonde with long stringy hair, who really should be wearing a hair net, came from the dish area and half screamed yeah he's going to be your server. Is there a problem? My husband said there's no problem we're trying to order, and said we are ready to order, but he's asking if we are ordering. When he figured out we wanted to order immediately, he began taking my husband's order though still slightly confused. Behind my husband this angry woman is talking about us saying how we're being racist because we were trying to get our server to understand we were ready to order. We eat at waffle House as a family one to two times a week. We were excited to try the new location in our city. Now we won't eat at waffle House ever again. We don't associate with racist people and are completely appalled and outraged by our treatment. We immediately got up and left and will never enter another waffle house. She should be ashamed of her behavior and take a course in...
Read moreWell. I've came here with 2 different cooks and neither one knew how to do their job correctly according to the Waffle House Manual. For 1 they don't do the grits correctly.. they mix the butter in the grits which is against company policy it makes the grits taste like burnt popcorn... Waffle House way is you only put the chunk of butter on top and let it melt to create a seal then you dip the spoon down in pulling straight up allowing the butter to roll off the top.. someone please show them what to do because I've gotten grits here twice and they were disgusting..... second of all the only ones in the whole restaurant was me and 3 police officers. My server was done taking my order before the officers yet I still had to wait until he was completely done with their order before even starting mine. It was 5 am on a monday.. the cook was too busy trying to be cool not in proper uniform (had a beard which is only allowed for religious reasons accordto Waffle house policy.... but the fact that even though my server was ready to call my order first and I got skipped shows me the cook could care less about doing his job right and more so making sure the cops don't mess with him for doin dope in the back... absolute disappointment will still be going to Monroe where they atleast know how...
Read moreWhere do I start? The waffle house location in Middletown Ohio, we have been to waffle houses all across the country, I was BLOWN away today. Typically during a meal you can find my wife and I on our phones until we pay the bill, but the crew here today had both my wife and I astonished. The camaraderie, comedy, complements, efficiency, I could go on for hours but I’ll leave it there.
Emma our waitress was honestly in the top 10 of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with (10/10)
Cole the DM kept checking on us and his team, absolutely incredible attitude, leadership skills 10/10
Ethan, one of the gentleman on the stove was providing my wife and I with a very entertaining experience, this guy was funny, with classics like “Sammie” don’t forget “pork choppies” this guy had a smile on him as wide as I75.
In closing, I have been coming to waffle house my entire life, and never, have I ever had such a remarkable experience dining out. As long as this crew is here, I will be exclusively traveling out to this location. The English language can’t produce what I want to express about these people. This is the golden standard for not just every Waffle House, but the absolute highest standard of customer...
