Cancun Mexican Bar and Grill Middletown — Restaurant in Middletown

Our first time visiting this restaurant or any of their chain. As a Texan, we're very versed in Mexican food, and this place nailed it. And the atmosphere is gorgeous, their brand is everywhere, tables, chairs, bench backs.... no expensive spared to sell their brand.

I ordered the Queso Fundido. The mountain of chorizo beef topped with cheese was a sight to see. As it hit the table, the entire plate was bubbling as the smell filled the air.

My wife ordered the beef fajitas. The server lit the plate on fire (faster than I could video it). He then placed the lit plate in front of her as it slowly faded away. She said the flavor was very on point and the finely sliced beef integrated into onion and peppers.

I ordered the large Cancan house margarita. I was completely fooled by the bubble gum machine style glass they brought it out in. The "hidden" bottom was probably twice the volume as the visible top. I'm usually a 2 margarita guy, but this one was more than enough.

My wife ordered the Sangria Margarita, but she's a top-shelf tequila kinda girl. However, their margs are premixed... so the manager made her one with Don Julio... She NEVER finishes a drink before me! She loved it.

For what it's worth, these well versed Texans loved Cancun Meixan...

It was our 1st time here and we arrived later for dinner. About an hour before closing but the staff, food & drinks were all still on point. The remodel on the old buffet location was beautiful & very inviting! We were greeted and shown to our booth and given our salsa & chips. He said to him their salsa has better flavor than any place we have been to so far. The menu has great options and made my decision making a bit hard since there were so many delicious items. Our waiter Alejandro was so polite & personable. Smiled a genuine smile the entire time. He was quick with all our needs and helped explain a couple of the items we were debating on. He ordered the Burrito Barzon, and I ordered the Quesadilla Tropicana. The food came out hot, fresh, and very appealing to the eye. The portions are wonderful and even had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. The drink menu was fantastic and my peach daiquiri was delicious! The prices were great and definitely lower than some others we have been to, especially for the size & quality of the food. We'll definitely be back to try another dish or two we were...

We got home from the restaurant and watched tv and went to bed about 12 or 1 o'clock in the morning. I got a text message saying my credit card has been compromised. I. Don't know if it was a coincidence. Or not, but I use my credit card all the time. At like Lowe's and Speedway and I never have anybody take my credit card to the back room and scan it, they did. I do not know if the credit card was compromised at that restaurant or not but the food was delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was great. But she did take my credit card To the back room to ring it out. Just saying From now on out, my credit card will not be out of my eyesight. The bank called it as a fraud and the sell did not go through but I will not have another credit card for seven day. Just Inconvenience. Great place, great atmosphere. Greeat food, And great service I will try it again.But my credit card will not...
