As soon as we walked in it looked like Chaos... But, I had been once before, years ago. I saw the Waiver Station to be able to jump. I signed. It on the computer and it printed a small receipt quickly. I took the receipt to the register and an amazing young lady, I didn't catch her name to thank her now š„ŗ buy, she was extremely helpful and informative. Also, we had a question and she didn't know the answer but, she excused herself from us to find out the answer for us, the correct answer which was awesome. She didn't just feed us false information to keep the line going. We bought the 30-Day pass which allows you to come everyday for 30 days at anytime as long as they haven't reached capacity for that time and my boys get to jump for 90 mins. If I want to keep going I just purchase add-on times. I believe they have a 60 min add-on and an 120 min add-on. The socks were a $1 so, that's handy. In each section they have employees keeping order and Saftey which is awesome. I was kind of worried that older kids would crush my kids or something... They're big-ish, 6 & 6 but, still... But, no. The employees were doing their jobs well, they were even helping kids to play and conversations with some. One employee kept talking to my son about the crazy flips he was doing even though he is only 6. The employees were very kind. When we were on the Foam Zone, some kids get stuck trying to climb up and the employee would come to help and sometimes help them jump farther by holding their hands if their scared which I thought was very nice for some of the smaller kids who really wanted to buy, we're to afraid. We went yesterday, February 29th, 2020 and we're going again today. I loved it. The only thing I can say I didn't like was the bathrooms. They were disgusting !!! The floors were covered in pee. It was so disgusting..... The toilet seats were soaked in pee. The toilet I went into, which was the big one to change their cloths, was filled with sooooooo much paper. Right before going to SkyZone, we went to eat, I'm also sick with a cold so I've been drinking a lot of fluids,... I had to pee SO BAD !!! and I couldn't because the bathroom was a nasty mess. I had to tell my boys to stand near the inside of the wall in side the stall so they wouldn't touch the pee on the floor. It was A LOT, A WHOLE PUDDLE. I am not even playing guys. Everything else was on point and amazing, the employees keeping order and Saftey, the hospitality from all of them on the play floor and at the register, they were all great. The bathroom was just my 1 star for 5 stars.so until I go again and they're actually kept clean they stay at 4/5 stars. They got time with me because I got my 30-Day pass, which I recommend to everyone. There is also a 90-Day pass..... Just in case ššš¤ Have Fun,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have frequented this SZ location for years, but only during weekdays and weekend hours during the daytime. Up until today, our experiences had been stellar, staff always on top of it and clean, well maintained facilities.
Tonight we attended Glow Night, to try something new for a birthday night celebration. We had prepared for a larger, possibly rougher older crowd given the time but also figured given the mandatory chaperone policy and staff, it would still be a fun time.
Initially I noticed things were different than our previous trips.
Check in was egregiously slow, even having pre-registered and filling waivers out ahead of time.
Facilities are run down tremendously since we were there last year. Filthy floors, carpets pulling completely up tripping kids, and that was just what was visible under the black lights š¬.
Staff was constantly on their phones or leaning over rails to chat with eachother. Not supervising at all to their usual standards. I had to physically get their attention countless times.
Grown teens running over toddlers in the toddler zone, unsupervised by any staff.
More peculiarly, the chaperone policy. This is verified as you walk in by a staff member once registered, but then never again despite multiple check points of staff checking just for expired wrist bands on kids. Why aren't chaperones checked at these locations too? Implementing something of the sort would have possibly prevented my kids from getting WWE Raw Smackdowned and crushed multiple times by other kids, not supervised by parents or staff, or prevented my kids from witnessing heavy inside of the pants play by older teens lounging in the arena. Which was only interrupted when I went over to disburse the situation.
When I brought these concerns to staff members and managers present, my concerns were brushed off as if this is the "norm" for a Saturday night.
These issues don't fall entirely on SZ staff, but the implementation of the chaperone policy absolutely does.
So we'll be skipping Glow Night and after today's interactions with staff, skipping on SZ Richmond...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI care for several grandchildren who loved SkyZone. We were excited when they opened Little Ninja play area and I purchased memberships for 4 of them last summer. However, I did not realize that during the school year the place only opens at 3 pm instead of 10 am so this did not work at all for my 4 toddlers. I maintained the memberships all year, but used them rarely during the school year. I decided to cancel the memberships at the end of this summer on August 31. However, you are unable to cancel online so I called and told the person who answered I wanted to cancel at the end of August. She took a message and said a manager would call me. He never did. The next time I went, the manager assured me in person he knew I wanted to keep the memberships and had cancelled them and I would actually be able to come through Sept 5. I thanked him thinking all was good. However, the next time I came, they said they could not check in my grandchildren because they had no record of my memberships. A different manager came out and could not figure out what was wrong, but said the manager who had helped me would be in the following day and call me back. He graciously let us play since I had all 4 of those members and 2 additional paying children already changing into socks No one ever called so I called back again. A different manager said that instead of cancelling the memberships as of September 5 as I had been told, three of our memberships had actually been cancelled as of August 5 and one was cancelled August 8. He said there was nothing he could do to fix this (even though one of the children's birthday was August 30 and I'd been thinking of having his party there). I asked who I could complain to and he said all the managers are at the same level so there is no one above them to complain to. So just be careful when getting and trying to cancel memberships. They could have gotten another monthly payment for 4 memberships as well as a party and all the money they pay for games and food. But obviously they do not care about the...
