Update on our delivery: 7/18 We purchased a freezer for our poorly insulated storage room. Our requirements were the freezer be garage ready (meaning it can withstand higher temperature fluctuations), it fit through our door (we have a storm door which makes the entrence narrower than a standard door), and have a reversible handle. Our sales person said no problem he gave us dimensions which fit, ensured us they would deliver inside, and that the handle could be reversed. He said they would call us when the freezer came in to arrange delivery. The only part of this which was true were the dimensions. The delivery men informed us that the delivery specified it was a garage and they would not deliver inside unless we paid for expert delivery. I offered to pay the fee and they said we needed to have prepaid the fee to the store and because we didn't they couldn't bring the fridge inside. Once the fridge was inside I discovered the handle was not reversible. We called our salesman, Ryan to let him know we were not happy. He told us he was with a customer and took our number. 8 hours later and he still hasn't called back. I guess that customer is very indecisive. I understand that sales people want to get to yes but we are disappointed that our salesperson didn'tball us when the freezer came in, mislead us regarding delivery, and claimed the appliance had features it doesn't have. Not going back there for false promises. We came here to look for a freezer. Great people and great price. Ryan is very friendly and helpful. I plan to come back here to bring my parents next week for a fridge.

That night I went online to find a handle for the fridge because that was the only thing that was dented. Found one for 100.00. Not bad until I also find the same exact fridge with same model number being sold for 1700.00 at a big box hardware store. I told my wife that we just bought a dent and scratch fridge for more than a brand new one is. Let’s just say we were not happy. So the next day I go back there and tell them I want to refund my fridge that hasn’t left the store yet and they said no let’s make this right. The manager asked me what price I want and I said lower than a brand new one. I told her 1500.00 would ok. So they refunded me 528.00. Before I left the manager came back and said well we are going to refund you even more because we are selling that fridge online for 1399.00. So they did another refund. So let me get this right, you sold me a fridge for 2000.00 that you are selling online for 1399.00? That doesn’t make any sense. I guess their commercials saying they will have the best price or it is free is a lie. Because you sold me a fridge that was 300.00 more then a new one and 700.00 more then you had listed online. At this point I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and would never shop here again.

Our experience with East Coast Appliance has been a complete disaster from the beginning. Numerous failures to honor their promises (including failure to correct contact information (address and phone number) despite repeated requests, failure to call back to confirm availability of selected product, failure to call back to confirm delivery date, failure to provide advance notice prior to showing up to install). While we thought the install had gone well enough, we discovered significant floor damage after removing paper left by the installler. (Gullible that we are, we left the paper in place for a day following the installer's instructions. Obviously, the paper was put in position to mask the damage in an attempt to avoid accountability.) Repairing the damage to the floor will likely cost more than the overpriced dishwasher we purchased from East Coast. We should have gone to Ferguson but acted on the recommendation of a technician from Mr. Appliance. Based on our experience, I definitely recommend anyone considering East Coast to go elsewhere. Absolutley horrible customer service and fulfillment that even makes dealing with Lowes seem like a dream.

BRWARE Absolutely awful business. NOT TRUE TO THEIR WORD, I was in there July (first week) bought several appliances, a new fridge, new washer/dryer combo and new washer dryer set for my daughter and her family, my two items (fridge was coming in thru didn't even call to tell me it was there, pathetic but I got mine scheduled for delivery, but not the washer dryer set they had in the warehouse at the time (holding for my daughter), I paid for everything and they REGGIE WAS told the set would need to b held till mid August prior to purchasing (was told that was not a problem by Reggie) as that's when my daughter was moving into her home with her, her husband and 3 very young boys. They, REGGIE. told us the set (brand new) was there in warehouse and to call when they move in and they would deliver, paid everything in full. Now the time had come to delivery their set and guess what, they don't have them and won't for possibly for week or later cuz they didn't have the set anymore I BOUGHT MONTH PRIOR!!! Reggie told us it would b there when we were ready for delivery approx 16th Aug, even told them do not sell it but they don't have it now, some BS story. Now my daughter and grandchildren will not have a washer and dryer in their new house. (As any parent knows with 3 boys under 5 you can't not have a washer and dryer) apparently till they get another shipment. I'm furious, I should have listened to all the people that said East Coast Appliance will screw you, well they did!!!!!! Totally unacceptable, they were supposed to call me back today, promised they would and they did not!! If I could I would return the appliances I even bought and had delivered and get my money back for All 4 appliances!!! AND NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN, next time I will take others advice, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. BUYERS BEWARE, THEY ACT ALL NICE WHEN UR THERE BUT IT'S OBVIOUS THEY DON'T CARE ONCE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! I'M ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! I'm mad at myself for not listening and them for being a horrible business with smart ass reps! Talked to me rudely and my daughter when called. I will stick to big companies for now on! Could've got the same items at home depot same prices, less hassle and they wouldn't have sold or got rid of a Set PiAID for already! Absolutely unacceptable! Trying to Reach headquarters so this never happens to someone else!!!!!!!! Now I know why most ppl hate this place. SHAME ON YOU ECA! Signed, very furious...

Definitely caught off guard by all the 5 star reviews. I would only recommend delivery/install services if you have someone who can be home all day every day, not just the day of delivery.

Sales process was fine. Appliance seems fine.

Scheduling for delivery and install was 2 weeks out, despite working from home 3 days a week we couldn't get it scheduled for a day that I work from home because that would extend another week. Agreed to run home when they called and just take my lunch at the time.

I didn't receive my previous evening 3 hour window. I called and requested it morning of. I was told 2:30-5:30. The majority of the day my anticipated delivery time was 4PM according to the delivery tracker. So, I headed home around 4. The minutes ticked by. The expected time to arrive just kept getting later and later. Around 7:30 PM the driver texts me saying they are running late, but are still coming, but would be willing to reschedule for the next day if I'd prefer. I responded with due to my work schedule I'd really rather have it tonight, if possible. He responded that he would call when he was on his way. I watched the tracker drive right by my house and likely to their home since the tracker didn't move for over 12 hours. I stayed up because I heard nothing else. At 10PM I asked if they were still coming because I needed to get to bed. Nothing.

The paperwork very clearly says if you aren't there to receive it you lose the $160? Delivery fee and have to pay it again for redelivery. Not really sure what to do I stayed up a little later waiting for a return text. Nothing. At midnight I texted I was going to bed.

It was around 6AM when he texted me back as was able to deliver the next morning.... forcing me to call into work. The install itself was fine, but when I called to speak to someone about what had happened I was offered some dishes washer cleaner for my troubles. I did scoff at that and was then offered a 10-year warranty.

Communication is poor. Delivery/Install process is terrible. Appliance seems fine. Will not purchase...

I am basing this review solely on the experience I had after I was suppose to receive the installation of my dishwasher between 830am-1130am. After confirming via email and continuing to check the tracker it showed that the installation would be later. When I checked again, it showed the installer was at stop 4( mind you, I was stop 2). I called the number provided in case you have questions and spoke to Charles. He wasn’t much help so he put me on with a manager and I explained to the manager that I didn’t understand the disconnect with my phone number when I had just received the delivery of my refrigerator (same establishment). They were able to contact me with no issues. After asking him why the driver didn’t contact the store if there was an issue with my number, he says the driver did and he(the manager) tried to email me but there was an error with my email address but this can’t be true because I had just confirmed my phone number with the assistant mgr Myranda on Jan 1st. At this point I am very upset and a bit out of character but at least I didn’t curse anyone out. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t be when you have been waiting all day and it only takes a matter of seconds to make communication with someone instead of doing the total opposite. He then tells me, he can get me rescheduled and I say for the next day and not a week later. He says that I am the second person for the next day and that the driver would call me the morning of with a 3 hour window of when he will arrive. I asked for an email confirmation and he kept saying to me, okay maam, it’s for tomorrow. Like he didn’t give any cares and it didn’t make a difference that they messed up. I was at home waiting to receive my appliances so why treat me as if I was the one in the wrong when all they had to do was call to begin with. This is completely unacceptable. I guess we will see what happens...
