Opening Night! — Local services in Mifflin Township

I would like to share the positive experience I had shopping here. I recently had surgery and am getting back into adult ballet classes. I have tried taking classes in typical activewear, but I find it impacts my performance. It feels like my movement/turnout is more restricted in traditional activewear, and I can’t see my lines to make corrections. That solidified to me that wearing a leotard is the most functional option. That being said, I was extremely nervous about walking into a dance wear store and trying to find leotards big enough for me.

The staff were extremely helpful with finding my sizes and offering to look up a product if they did not have my size in the store. It truly felt like a nonjudgmental experience which I really didn’t expect. I look forward to going back. This is the only place I will go for my dance wear needs for the foreseeable future. I've been shopping at Opening Night at both locations for years and have never once felt like I was welcome in their stores. Their staff follow you around like they suspect you're going to steal something and never take my needs seriously. I've had multiple bad pointe shoe fittings here and I don't think any of their fitters have had any actual training in fitting shoes. Really appreciated the thoughtfulness and expertise of the staff. Took my fiancee in to get her some new technique and point shoes as a wedding present. One of the staff, Rose, immediately set out to help her find the right pairs. She spent an 1 1/2 hours trying different brands and sizes, until she was convinced they would serve my fiancee well.
