I genuinely enjoy the quality of lulu lemons products however walking into their store gives me anxiety as a person of color. In the Short Hills location 2 caucasian young women with blond hair were extremely passive and nasty when ringing me up. When I walked up to the register they made eye contact with me and quickly looked away, as if they didn't want to attend to me. After standing there for 5 minutes waiting for help and watching them chitchat. I called them over to help me purchase my items. Finally one of dragged herself over to the register.
I said 'Hello, how are you?" and she didn't respond. She rung up my clothes, didn't tell me the total nor did she ask me how I wanted to pay. Thankfully I found the card reader myself and inserted my card. She then put the receipt in the bag (the bag was all the way on her side so the least she could have done was passed it to me, because of this I had to bend over the counter to grab my bag myself). She didn't say goodbye, thank you, see you again soon or anything that would make me want to feel welcomed into the store again. The interaction was cold which was extremely confusing because when I walked into the store her expression was different with other caucasian customers.
On other occasions the caucasian employees in this store either give you smirks or make you feel like you shouldn't be there if you're a person of color. Very thankful for the few girlies in the store who were not white who helped me in the fitting room.
Lululemon, please hire more employees of color. You don't understand how important this is for the community. Your POC customers should not have to endure these micro-aggressions...
Read moreI went to Lululemon I had an exchange on a faulty top. After hand washing my top an ink stain from the material appeared. I explained what had happened to the cashier and she couldn't believe the product was faulty and was determining what may have happened and giving me examples as to maybe I spilled something on it, or washed it with other clothes or maybe I used the wrong detergent. After I wouldn't take no for an answer the cashier walked away laughing which was extremely annoying. The cashier then called someone else who seemed to be a senior I re-explained the situation and she was not the greatest of help and told me since it wasn't any stitching problems that she couldn't do anything, but she agreed to give me a store credit like she felt obligated to sorry for me which made me feel embarrassed in a store full of customers with the expression of still not believing that the product was faulty.
I then found my new top and tried to make the exchange after doing so both cashiers laughed out loud once I walked towards the exit and when I confronted them the cashier asked what she was laughing at and what her name was she replied told me to "leave me alone" and that she didn't have to give their name/names to me. I felt so disrespected after spending so much money at that store which I frequently visit, the level of unprofessionalism and disregard, disrespect was off the charts. I no longer will be visiting this disgusting store after being disrespected like this. Worst customer service ever don't even bother...
Read moreI ordered online. Everything seemed super easy. All I had to do is drive an hour and a half to Short hills mall to pick it up.. Everyone at the store stands around in packs and seems very bothered when you go there to ask them for anything. I went to the first person I saw ,she seemed annoyed, but went to go look for my packages. Came back about 20 minutes later telling me not only was it not ready, but I would have to wait with a possibility that they didn’t even have it in stock. Mind you the website stated that they had it here and it was waiting for me. Apparently, I was Speaking to the manager, Christina , who was zero help at all. She proceeded to tell me how it was basically my fault for coming on a Sunday and not checking,(Even though I called). Well, if anyone hasn’t guessed, she said very bluntly we don’t have it. I’ll just return your money.. She stated this and not in question form but as in ,she was done with me I could see with her attitude that this was not going to get anywhere so I just left with my family. This is the first time buying any Lululemon and I dropped over $500. But never again, not worth it, and the service that I thought was gonna be top-notch because of the clothing line was terrible! The clothes might be expensive, maybe good quality, but if this how they treat their...
