Oconee River Greenway — Attraction in Milledgeville

The Ac in car is out .. yesterday my oldest son had a few appointments in milledgeville, we had been in the car for nearly 2 hours.. it' was the hottest day I've felt I believe .. me and the baby took a shallow dip.. we sat on the boat dock jus up to my waste it was nice.. we so needed refreshing! We didn't get to really see to much other than the small spot of water .. .and we didn't stay long but it was just what we needed! cool and peaceful we saw some kayak'ers ... When it's not so hot I will return with the baby...

Nice place for a quiet walk along the Oconee River. There are paved walks of various lengths and a great boardwalk through the woods. This is a small raised platform, numerous benches and even a small wooden fishing/observation. The information board has a map and useful information. The park has a boat ramp if you want to brave the sometimes swift current and shallow areas. It looks like the park is in a flood plain because floating debris is 6 feet high in the trees....

Nicely landscaped, mostly shaded, walking paths and dog park. Paths having seating along the way. It would be more ideal if these seating areas had a better view of the River, but they are clean and in good condition. The dog park has three sections, two for big dogs and one for small dogs. Large shade trees are located in each pen. Water is provided for humans and dogs. Portable toilets are provided for necessary calls of nature. Plenty of parking,...
