We only ate here twice in the two years we lived in a small town where every establishment downtown owed its success to the large population of college students surrounding the small, but densely-packed main street. The first time was in late 2016, the place was packed with fall semester students and the service quick, the bar menu served quickly and was above average. Two years later, in the spring of 2018, we heard the place was under entirely new management and had a revamped menu and new wait staff...none of these changes were good. The wait once at our table was ridiculously long, the server seemed distracted and would disappear in the back for long periods of time. The food was TERRIBLE...it tasted like food that came straight out of food-service bags, and worst of all it was ice cold...even the simplest dish, spaghetti and meatballs, was cold to the touch and flavorless. After waiting nearly an hour just to GET the food, it was completely inedible. Our group of four was now exhausted, irritated, and STILL hungry. We requested to see the manager to let them know that we were not happy and wanted a refund; we knew to get replacements of the same mediocre food we would be sitting there until midnight. The manager took two of the four entrees off of the bill, and when the replacement food showed up, it was just as bad-and still cold. After another ten minutes we finally told the manager to take back their food AND their bill. We were offered a free round of cocktails, but refused and left-that would have meant being stuck at LEAST another hour in this horrid place. I could see why drunk college students were EVERYWHERE...no sane-or sober- person could handle this place. I am not usually one to leave a bad review; I am very patient, forgiving and tolerant, but even I...
Read moreOnly two stars because there are several areas that need attention. This place could be awesome but it just wasn’t. First of all, our waitress Haley, seemed disinterested in our dining experience. She also overcharged us for a side salad and took forever to refill drinks. There was probably 10 others in the dining area and just as many at the bar. They were not busy. The food was of good quality ingredients however the preparation was way lacking in the pizza and with the spaghetti. The pasta noodles were not even Al dente, they were more raw and hard in the center. The pie had several large unattended air bubbles that left dry spots on a crust that was almost threadbare of sauce to begin with, and the crust edge was so thick it left me feeling I had just paid for the 14” but was served a counterfeit 11”. I brought it to Haley’s attention but she just laughed and mockingly said it was ridiculous, but was there anything else she could do for us as he was walking away. Overall with the poor food preparation, the shotty service, and the overcharging we decided to just pay and leave. Probably won’t be returning to this...
