Milton memorial park is a nice distraction. It offers rides for children and beautiful scenery. Along the Broadkiln river: it is located just behind the Milton library. I grew up in this town. This place we used to call "the docks." I caught my first fish here, a sunfish. I was around 11 years old. What memories I have of this place. It's much improved to invite families to enjoy a day by the river. Fishing, boating (there is a boat ramp), playing on the playground. There is a train for kids. I don't know when it's active though. There is a gazebo. I went to a wedding there today. They offer weddings etc. Also, the firehall is close for the reception or party. And so are the police next door. Irish Eyes is there, too. Enjoy your time together there. It's awesome for families and...
Read moreThis park is spacious and is kids friendly & dogfriendly. 🐕 It has a lot of beautiful benches, some grills for BBQ, picnic tables, many trees with dedication, a boat ramp nearby, and a train station that I assume is for a small train ride for kids. It also has a large play area for kids. I looked very the water view and the brick walkway. I do wish that the tulip art was installed in a place with a nice background. It's current spot makes it very difficult to photograph and it is hard to see the tulips with the distractions in the background. I really like that this park is smoke free. You can smoke outside the park. There are cigarette/ash disposals. There are a couple of...
Read moreThis is a great little park right behind the library. I wish the playground had been there when I grew up in the town. It has swings, monkey bars, a little merry go round, a huge teeter totter and a unique playground in the shape of a ship to commemorate the ship building that happened there for hundreds of years. It is also great when the little train is running that you can ride in. The park has water on three sides, so keep track of your little ones! My older kids like climbing the sycamore trees near the...
