We do a LOT of eating out. Understanding this is a new establishment and maybe still working out some kinks. The painting on the wall was eye-catching and beautiful. From there it went down hill. Service was slow. For as many people there working, things should have been happening much faster and smoother. A table was sat outside and no one ever even got them drinks. They up and walked after about 15 minutes. I never did get the drink I ordered. Plates arrived wet and dirty, twice, not appealing. And we had to ask for them, both for a shared appetizer and shared dinner plates. Portions were very small. Especially for the price. We got two rolls. One was the size of maybe a hotdog (not including the bun) Very small. The “lump’ crabmeat on top was most certainly NOT Maryland crab. In fairness, it wasn’t advertised that way. But we’re in Maryland, known for crabs AND we’re at the beach, close to fresh seafood. Tasted and had the appearance of canned crab meat. Also not deserving of the price. Every sushi restaurant we have been to (affordable to pricey and fancy) chop sticks, soy sauce and wasabi are usually either already on the table or brought with the food. We had to ask for it, then we had to share the dish, odd. Lastly, we were given the wrong bill, twice. Some serious...
Read moreGreat food but this place will NOT last long. My husband and I live in Milton. We’ve been so excited to try this restaurant in our little town and finally got a date night away from the kids. We showed up at 8:15pm on a FRIDAY NIGHT and the hostess immediately looked at her watch (first red flag). The entire time we were eating they were mopping and cleaning. At 8:30pm the server said the sushi bar was about to close. Not cool. If you advertise that you’re open until 9pm then you give your guests the best experience until then. Very disappointed with how they pushed us out. As a new restaurant you should be MORE than happy to serve your guests at whatever time they walk in. We will not be back. Instead we will go into Rehoboth for Sting Ray or...
Read moreLago is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The servers here are absolutely wonderful — they’re attentive, friendly, and make you feel like a valued guest every time. Everyone on staff goes above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is perfect.
And the food? Incredible. The sushi is fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The shrimp tempura roll is a must-try — it’s perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the flavors blend so well. It’s easily one of the best rolls I’ve ever had.
If you’re looking for amazing sushi paired with exceptional service, Lago is definitely the...
