We went 2 days ago to this new cafe in Milton for breakfast. It has only been open a few days. The new decor is a welcome change from the old Foxhole restaurant, fresh, modern and inviting. The food was ok, we both had the farm eggs dish which was $15. It was ok, a little pricey for 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and potatoes, especially as it didn't even come with toast!! When we ordered the toast anyway they didn't have jelly either. The coffee is good, their own blend they said. I ordered a latte, tasted good and was presented beautifully but unfortunately it was stone cold. Maybe have that machine serviced! We will try it for lunch as it's a new venture but my feeling is kinda meh.......I wouldn't rush back here to eat. The backyard is still a better option and you can't beat their fresh bakery items for breakfast, their steaming hot latte's and free toast on the side with breakfast but try it for yourself......for us it was...
Read moreI am visiting from out of town and my family really talked up Zava cafe in Milton, so we all went. The menu was eclectic and the food was wonderful. The negatives were the service and the prices. We sat ourselves, our server never once offered water and never through the almost 2 hours we were there checked on us. The pancakes were served with a 2 oz soufflé cup of syrup, my $4.00 cup of hot water (Lipton tea) was a joke. Not even free refill of hot water, same for black coffee. These were not fancy coffee drinks. Can’t get simpler than hot water and a tea bag. Even though the food was delicious… some of us had breakfast and some lunch, nice sampling of the menu, we will not return. After being in the hospitality/restaurant industry for many years, I was not impressed. Good service can make or break an experience…especially when the prices are on...
Read moreI ordered the healthy yogurt bowl and the green latte. The yogurt bowl was fantastic. The yogurt is made in house! And you can definitely tell! The granola on top was the perfect sweetness with a bit of crunch but not too hard. Strawberries were perfectly ripe and sweet but still firm. The blackberries were so good as well. There was a little drizzle of honey and overall it was the perfect sweetness and it wasn’t too sweet! The portion was perfect and I left feeling so full but it was healthy so it didn’t make me feel tired at all:) I would definitely go here again to grab that bowl. The decor was lovely to look at and they displayed real flowers on the table. Lovely place.
Second time there: the beet latte and the guacamole were SO good. This place does not disappoint! They continue to serve fresh and equally beautiful food. Love...
