Here is my edit for now. Vic, the Director, met me this evening to explore and explain. He was extremely gracious and the hotel has been recently purchased. Plans to renovate and train properly are in the works. I truly appreciate the attempts to correct the current issues. I have agreed to give the hotel another try. Stay tuned, I will give an honest update.
Staff needs an overhaul. Not friendly, not really engaged at all. All of the different ones I have encountered are completely self absorbed. I usually stay in Marriott or Hilton properties and it’s way more professional from the staff.
Breakfast was great when I was here in February. This time, in June, they were serving bad fruit. Highly spoiled and served anyway. I tried to tell the “cook”, she looked at me as if I was crazy. The eggs were ice cold, the potatoes were not even cooked. I truly believe she took some frozen potatoes and placed them in a microwave for about two minutes and served them. The bacon was good.
This hotel advertises a bar. There is a counter shaped like a bar with a few bottles of liquor behind it. Do not expect anyone making you a drink to actually know anything about bartending, but please expect to be charged as though they do. If you look up the bar menu, they have a few drinks advertised. First night, I had an Old Fashioned, it was definitely not made as described on the menu which was a traditional old fashioned, but made and mixed with starry soda, crazy right??? Next night I tried to order a cosmopolitan, which is on their menu. The girl gave me a crazy look and said “we don’t have those!”, while looking around as if she were looking for a canned or bottled drink. I proceeded to ask if she had the ingredients and she agreed that she did, so I just got it on the rocks.
Please stop advertising a bar when there is nothing close to a bartender and then charging as if there is.
Next, the beds. This is the absolute worst part of it all. The beds are clearly very old, lumpy and remind me of sleeping in some of my grandparents old beds, and I’m in my 50’s so imagine that….. Highly uncomfortable. The temperature in the rooms is tough to keep regulated, so sleeping was not a restful experience.
Based on the staff in this hotel, I don’t expect this review will get any action from the owners or upper management, but for you patrons, I would highly recommend...

Our family stayed at Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport for my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding weekend, and unfortunately, it was one of the most unprofessional hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
At check-in, I arrived with two small children (ages 4 and 5) and another adult. The kids were so excited to swim—but we found out only after getting to the pool that it was closed. No one mentioned this during booking or check-in, even though children’s ages were provided when reserving.
The General Manager had personally confirmed in writing that the bride and matron of honor would have adjoining rooms. When they arrived, they were placed on separate floors and told nothing could be done—until my daughter showed the GM’s own email. Only then did he move them to the same floor (still not adjoining as promised).
It got worse. The hotel allowed an unauthorized person to call in and make changes to the bride’s reservation—reducing her stay from two nights to one, effectively canceling her wedding-night room. That caller turned out to be my daughter’s brother’s fiancée, but the hotel had no way of knowing that—she was not on the reservation and should never have been permitted to make changes. Even more alarming, when her fiancé later arrived to “check into his room,” the hotel actually gave him a key to the bride’s room. That is a serious privacy and safety breach.
When I went to the front desk to fix this (around 7:50 p.m.), I was told the GM had left for the night. The receptionist called him personally, and he said he was “at dinner with his family” and there was nothing he could do until morning—the morning of the wedding. When I said that wasn’t acceptable and that I’d contact the BBB, the GM reportedly said he “didn’t care” and to “go right ahead.” Only after that did the staff suddenly “find a way” to fix the canceled room.
For a weekend that was supposed to be filled with joy and celebration, Hyatt made it stressful, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. Between the broken promises, privacy violations, and dismissive management, this was an incredibly...
