My newly minted 9 year old discovered MindTrix while we were visiting the mall and immediately HAD to do the School of Magic challenge. Even with the chaos of wrangling a 3 year old and my visiting mom, Mike (owner and our game master) was so patient, attentive, and kind. It was all our first time doing any kind of escape room, but compared to what I've seen at other places, I really love the setup here. Instead of being stuck in a single room that you have to find your way out of, it's a series of spaces with clues all over, so the elements of working together feel really collaborative, and the overall experience of the story is fun and engaging. I'd say it's definitely appropriate for all ages and the School of Magic game in particular gives all the vibes of a certain magic series without giving a certain hateful woman any more money! So much attention to detail and plenty of fun surprises along the way. 10/10 would recommend, especially as we move into rainy season and need more fun things to do indoors.

My coworkers and I, from Whittemore Family Dentistry, attended the Tesla's Mystery escape room for a team building exercise and we had such a great time. There were 7 of us, and we were a mix of escape the room newbies and experienced escapers, and we were all thoroughly pleased with the experience. Officer Zack, our guide and hint provider, was super patient with our chaotic arrival and in great character. Tesla's Mystery wasn't limited to one room to solve clues which I thought it made more exciting and the clues were very clever. The escape room was a solid medium level and we had about 3 minutes remaining after solving the mystery. I wouldn't have asked for a better team to solve problems with!

My partner and I did back-to-back escape rooms (School of Magic and The Time Machine) for our date night and had a blast! The owner and game host, Mike, was super friendly and even offered us the second game for free when we made the Leaderboards for the first game. School of Magic was super fun and imaginative, and The Time Machine was clever and more challenging. My partner especially appreciated the sci fi and tech elements while I'm all about the whimsy and wizardry. We are experienced escape room gamers and this was one of our favorites! Update: We have now completed all three rooms (including Tesla's Doomsday Device) and thoroughly enjoyed the craftmanship and creativity!

Escape room was great, gamemaster Tiberious was awesome, my group had a good time. However, I'm very uncomfortable with the wavier in which you state you can use my name and likeness in any format, in any way, in perpetuity:

"I irrevocably grant to Mindtrix the right, but not the obligation, to use one or more of my name, image, likeness, mannerisms, and voice, in whole or in part, in connection with advertising, publicizing, and marketing Mindtrix, by all means, media, devices, processes, known or devised, in perpetuity throughout the universe. I hereby release Mindtrix from all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with such use."

As a theatre person, this is one of things SAG/AFTRA is striking about - control of our likenesses. Completely unrestricted use of a name and likeness in the way your wavier states is not reasonable, and I won't be coming back because of it.

  • Added after response That's because I didn't use my name in your system.

** Added after second response. Thank you for responding in such detail. You are correct, I did not inquire about the clause because there’s no opt out in the online form. I also didn’t want to show up to the event and get turned away, ruining the night for my friends.

Your response that you only use it for pictures does not match the wording. What picture has a voice? That’s a video not a picture. And in perpetuity? Your friend may be an arts/entertainment attorney, but I have never signed a wavier like that in my 30+ years performing. Also, the cheeky “throughout the universe” does not give a tone of seriousness. If you do decide to use an “image” are you stating you will pay everyone in it for the usage? That’s a different set of terms that should be spelled out. If folks have asked, as you state, “on multiple occasions” perhaps you should re-examine this. I’m betting most folks don’t read it and just sign.

I would suggest you create the opt out on your online form and perhaps change the wording to more accurately reflect your intentions. You have this for minors, why not adults? I do appreciate your response, so thanks for that. I also will take this time to say I revoke my prior waiver of that...

have never been here but one of the worst employees i have ever spoken to in my life he was yelling at me while the front door was still closed threatening me that he was gong to call security and telling me that i was a horrible mom all because my baby was looking through the window the guy with half bald hair and glasses absolutely rudeeeeeee would never bring my family in there not a family friendly place at allllllllll unimpressed he needs to have some customer service manners unbelievable my baby is 14 months old not even a teenager at that. telling me i can’t control my child maybe don’t have your place right next to a kid center if you hate kids that much.

i wouldn’t even rate him a 1 i would give him a 0 at best!!!!!!!

the dude at the front desk didn’t even come outside to tell me that he didn’t want a 14 month old baby putting his hands on the glass he wasn’t even pushing the glass at all as 14 month old isn’t even strong enough to make any kinda noise and not only that i told the dude whooo was standing behind the desk i am sorry he was touching you door but he screamed in stead threating to call security becuase he couldn’t get his big boy pants on and talk to me in person let alone open the door he never once told me to please stop and never once told me it’s for saftey reasons we can have babies...

ATTENTION PEOPLE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not impressed with this place at all my wife was there with her son and the owner threatened them with security because my son touched the glass door well let me tell you that owner NEVER STEPPED OUTSIDE THAT STORE TO TALK TO MY WIFE AND ONLY YELLED AT HER FROM BEHIND HIS DESK. NO PROFESSIONALISM AT ALL AND TO TELL MY WIFE THAT SHE DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO CONTROL MY SON IS SOOO disrespectful. Again not a family friend place at all and not a safe place for kids If THE OWNER thinks by touching the glass is dangerous by a 14 month old BABY Maybe you should re locate to a place where children aren’t around you seem like a very rude human with no professionalism or class

We never got talked to face to face and never got told what he was doing wrong other than his hands touching the window of the door.

MY SON ISNT EVEN STRONG ENOUGH TO OPEN THE DOOR AND HE CLAIMS THAT HE OPENED THE DOOR I would love TO SEE REAL Life forage of him opening the door by himself at 14 months old

We will be back at the kids center to play and we will be telling people how horrible that place is. Your loss our gain knowing we will be saving our money BY...
