Haven Nail Studio — Local services in Minneapolis

Give this a 2 because the host did say hello and it was clean on the inside. They accept walk-ins or appointments according to the website. I arrive at 5:45pm they close at 7pm. So, I walk in...He asks How can I help You. I asked to see if my reservation came through, it did not. Thats fine, I dont flip about small things. So he ASKED me, what service did I want. I stated that I would like a full set. Im plain Jane. A short set with one color....he then tells me after I tell him what I was wanting. "Ohhh im sorry we are all booked". I assume i couldve received a brow wax or polish removal....So I sit there and marinate on the words. So I asked "are you booked" or is it because you all close at 7pm. He then sits there, thinks about it because it was a lie. He then admits, "yes ma'am because we close at 7". Before I walked out he was asked by coworker ,what did I want. Im not sure how nail salons work here (im from TN). But what I was wanting couldve been done. I am a nail tech but im on vacation and wanted to be pampered. Disappointed. My experience in the salon was fine. It was clean. The staff were professional. Despite the manicurist telling me she didn’t know how to do nail art (which I requested when booking), I left the salon with beautiful nails.Unfortunately, 3 hours later, the polish came off my nails. It wasn’t chipped. The polish came off as one piece as if it were a sticker put on my nails. I called and the salon is going to redo my nails. I don’t really want to go back but I am willing to give them a chance to get it right. Ultimately, I don’t think I will use this salon again.

Update! I had my nails redone. The dazzle dry is staying on my nails. Despite my nails not being as cute as the first time(chose one color for a quick in and out), I received several compliments. I will probably go back. My cuticles didn’t hurt after the initial appointment and I still felt pampered which was the point in the...

I've enjoyed the few experiences I've had with Haven. The space is very beautiful and importantly- clean. After getting sick at the beginning of the year, I've been pretty cautious about where I go for services and Haven was a great spot to try. I tried their longer laster regular nail polish in prep for having family photos taken and they looked gorgeous in the pictures. I also tried their new Dazzle Dry system and they lasted nearly 3 weeks. The one thing I wish is that they would have non-natural nail options. I understand that they like to have the clean, natural atmosphere and products, but perhaps they could try something besides acrylics or dips, such as Aprés Gel X.
