If this review was strictly for the service we received from Fox, it would have been five stars. He was kind, knowledgeable and did a great job helping us find exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, another employee by the name of Justin made it a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. My wife and I came in around 6:00 on Wednesday, September 4th- We were interested in a floor model couch that Justin had showed another customer earlier. They did not end up putting money down, so we decided to purchase the couch from Fox. When we were sitting at the desk with Fox, trying to buy it, Justin told us that we could only have the couch if his customers don’t want it- so he made a phone call trying to get his customer to buy it before we did- right in front of us. Once his clients didn’t answer, he then said “I guess you guys can get it” but when Fox asked Justin to remove the couch from their order so that he could add it to ours, Justin said he was too busy and he’ll do it later (even though he was not helping other customers at that time). When Fox added the couch to our order, Justin came over and and started swearing under his breath, using multiple types of profanity, about Fox. Again all of this was right in front of my wife and I. I finally spoke up and asked if Justin could leave so that we could finish the sale. During this entire time, Fox was extremely professional, even though he was getting spoken down to and sworn at. I was embarrassed for your company, seeing what terrible customer service Justin had. If it weren’t for the great service we received from Fox, we would have absolutely taken our service elsewhere based on Justin’s actions. I had to have my first mattress replaced twice over 8 years. It was under warranty and Slumberland was great. I had to provide pictures of the 'dip' and it was replaced. They didn't build the mattress, but they do represent the manufacturer and they were great.
Just 2 weeks ago, we bought a reclining chair from Eric, and thought the color would look good in our family room. It doesn't. Our mistake. So one call later, after talking with Joseph, we're getting the same chair in the darker color. No problems whatsoever.
When we came into the store for the chair mentioned above, Eric approached us, we said "we're just looking around right now" and he immediately stopped and said to come grab him if we find anything. Once we found the right chair, he helped us with the purchase. Eric was very friendly and respected our request to shop around unattended.
When I called back to exchange the chair, I spoke with Joseph who like Eric was very friendly, checked inventory, put in the exchange request and said Slumberland will call us when the chair comes in. AGAIN, these guys are really nice to talk to and deal with.
I understand every company isn't perfect, and things do go out of warranty. But after reading some of the other reviews, I'm not one to complain if I have to drive back to exchange an item before I've even called the store to see if the item is in stock or not. That's not the stores fault.

My mother warned me for years to not shop at Slumberland. I finally get it, but not until I spent almost $4,000 with them at this store.
Bought a CalKing mattress with box springs and metal frame - mattress has developed two valleys within two or three months.
Paid an extra $300 for the power-reclining version of a sofa because I was told the matching reclining chair only came in a power version, no manual option. Turns out, the salesman either had it completely backwards, or just outright lied. The chair ONLY comes in manual, so now I have a power sofa instead of the cheaper, preferred manual version.
Also ordered a coffee table and end table. Two different styles of end tables were available; of course they delivered the wrong one.
Ordered a rug, too. It was decent, but my recently-adopted cats have been working the yarn out. One thing that's not Slumberland's fault. Oh yeah, also a table lamp. That's still working.
I've had to fight the mattress frame to keep it together. I ended up having to buy nuts and bolts finally, because the frame kept separating and the box spring would drop through.
Tables, rug, and lamp are all fine. But the high-dollar items are garbage. Chair is okay, but the wrong type for what I was told. Couch is terrible - can't move it without it threatening to fall apart.
