Whether you're wanting to swim some laps in the Olympic-sized swimming pool, grab a one- or two-person innertube to float around the Lazy River, or if you want to enjoy the main attraction - three fairly tall water slides - this is the best place to go to swim outside. Of course this is very kid-oriented, with an entire shallow section dedicated to small children and early swimmers and wacky devices that might splash you (hence the name), but it can honestly be enjoyed by anyone.
The water slides are of course the most interesting feature; they're all decently fast (without being too scary) and one is designed to be ridden on an inner tube (best enjoyed with a friend on the two-person tube). Because it's so popular, lines can sometimes get long and the breeze blowing at the tower can make you feel pretty cold if you're already soaked. However, the slides are well worth the wait.
As far as the facilities go, everything is modern and well-built. There are some options to buy food but they are less than great and very expensive. The price of admission is reasonable but you'd probably do best to avoid buying anything else there.
Overall, a great solution to cool off in the...
Read moreYou need to sign up for an account and make a reservation. This requires calling the office and writing your login and password on a post-it note, the process is absurd. There are literally free software products that handle users and reservations. Set aside disregard for a mountain of data indicating Covid-19 is astronomically improbably transmitted outdoors. I know everyone has to put on a little Covid theater, even if it's not effective, or they'll face shame them on social media. They did... something... so nobody can say they didn't. But this park had a maximum occupancy before we let fear dominate our ability to find pragmatic solutions to problems. So it should beg the question, why not cut occupancy in half without undertaking this reservation endeavor, which has them - over their heads -? Not to mention Parks operates the splash parks in town, so why are those those closed while this is open, other than making money. Guess we didn't get enough absurd public policy and fear of the unlikely from the Post-911 era, terrorists are so passe. More nonsense we get to - wade through - in the absurd times we're - swimming - in.
2 stars, because this place used...
Read moreTHEY LACK ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! We came from out of state to visit & have fun with family! I paid for 2 adults and 3 kids and FIVE minutes later there was a lightening strike! Everyone out for 30 minutes. I asked for a refund or passes for another time since we just got there. Basically told HELL NO. So we waited and by the way the food station closes too! No snacks. Time is almost up and another lightening strike! Reset for another 30 minutes. I ask again for refund/ passes stating we just got in and we are from out of state. HELL NO and mobs of people are upset. They close in one hour. We are told we can leave and come back later that day. We left and came back to a deserted pool. Four families swimming. This was ridiculous! All the run around and 30 minutes to swim! Thank God they were cheapskates and didn't want to show basic customer service skills! We would have came back another day with the passes! Go somewhere you will be appreciated! Spend your money and time elsewhere! We...
