If any of you who grew up in Monona remember over 15 years ago when Schluter was just had a swing set and a crane toy, the algae so bad where you had to measure the safety of swimming all the time; the Schluter beach of today is a beach where all can enjoy. The bike station (Ebike and bike fix-it station) is one where travelers will love, the new restrooms are ones where you feel safe, the benches are great to sit and enjoy the view with Babcock Hall ice cream from The Bait Shop. The playground is made for hours of fun for the kids! The new access to the lake is great to relax and enjoy the water. My family and I always go ever summer and spring to enjoy the lake.
