I am writing to detail a deeply concerning experience with my first precious metals purchase from this dealer. My intention is to ensure other customers are fully informed.

Based on my research, the spot price of silver was approximately $41 per ounce. When I called to confirm, a representative quoted me a price of $45 per ounce with no taxes. I proceeded to purchase $20,000 worth of silver based on this verbal quote.

The transaction seemed normal at the store. The staff performed calculations and implied I was receiving a good deal. However, upon returning home and meticulously counting my coins, I discovered a major discrepancy.

· Expected Quantity: At the agreed $45/oz, my $20,000 should have purchased 444.44 ounces of silver. · Actual Quantity Received: I received only 374 ounces.

This means I was shorted by 70.44 ounces of silver. Calculating the effective price I paid reveals the issue: $20,000 / 374 oz = $53.48 per ounce—a significant markup over the agreed-upon price.

The value of the missing silver, based on our $45/oz agreement, is over $3,100. When I contacted the store for an explanation, I was met with a series of unsatisfactory excuses rather than a resolution.

Very nice father and son own and run the shop. I had jewelry from my mother's estate that needed to be appraised for inheritance tax purposes. They clearly knew exactly what they were looking at and explained how they valued the pieces to me in detail. While I was there two other people were in the store and they were treated with great respect and kindness. One of them, a woman, was selling some pieces of jewelry and it was clear they weren't worth much even to me. The father was very gentle with her he explained that he couldn't give her much and didn't want to insult her with his offer. He gave her $25, which was more than generous based on the items she had to sell. Honestly, I doubt the jewelry had any value, so this was a kindness...
