The best way to spend a rainy afternoon (and any other time that they are open) in Monona is visiting Flying Low Skateshop, treating yourself to some new skate wears and chatting it up with Jeffrey.
Jeffrey is dedicated to providing the absolute BEST customer service experience for each person who walks through his door.
He's got the greatest deals on the finest skateboard apparel and gear this side of the Mississippi!
Flying Low Skateshop is able to assist outright beginners and up to bona fide wizards of the craft. Jeffrey is always down to talk it up whilst throwing in a bunch of obscure references into conversation to keep it engaging. Wish someone as eager about the art as Jeffrey was around earlier to get me into skateboarding - I'd be the next Tony Hawk by now, surely!!!
Flying Low Skateshop is a STAPLE store in our community. Be sure to say hi to Brad and Edna when you do visit!

Read moreSuch a cool place. Went in wanting a more personal and professional experience while getting a board to learn on. And this place was everything I could’ve asked for. Laid back vibes while still having a ton of knowledge and options. From knowing the size of board I should use, recommendations on the wheels, and giving options when it came to bushings and bearings. Loved chatting while my board was getting put together and getting to chill with the little fur buddy Cody. This place is great if you need a quick pitstop to pick up a few things all the way to getting a new full board and spending the afternoon with good company. My only regret is living almost 2 1/2 hours away. But trust me I’ll be making a stop again if I’m in the area or just passing through, even if it’s for a vinyl...
Read moreWent in to get my daughter’s longboard wheel fixed. Jeff was super chill, friendly and inquisitive. Between the layout of the store with a lounge sofa and his warm welcome , he made you feel like you were at home hanging out with a friend. He was very helpful and gave me a good deal on skate tool and a cool t-shirt (for daughter) since the wheel was an easy fix. This is a cool little neighborhood shop that we are fortunate to have and the kind of place that personifies, in the best way, how and why local businesses are important. Jeff also teaches guitar. Check out his band , Clean Room, in local venues. It was nice to meet Jeffrey (my apologies if I am misspelling it) and look forward to...
