I was looking for a place to get two pieces of jewelry appraised. I called and they said they could do it but the pieces would have to sent out to be appraised. I was fine with that, the important thing was I was I was able to bring them in, get my appraisal, and move on with my life. I was not concerned about how long it would take once they got dropped off. The person I spoke with on the phone said to bring them in Monday and they would get picked up on Tuesday and returned the following Tuesday.
I get there Monday to drop them off, and another sales lady was like âyou donât want to wait for this to get doneâ and I should take them to another place and they could it faster. I was pretty annoyed that she just made the assumption on how long I was willing to wait and how busy my days are. I agreed to go the recommended place mostly because I was really annoyed she was basically brushing me off. I get to the recommended place and find out they are closed on Mondayâs (thanks for heads up!). I took the time to look at their reviews since I had to wait for them to open the next day only to find the place she recommended does not do appraisals. I tried calling the recommended place to confirm this but no one picks up their phone not to mention the hours of the recommended jeweler are extremely limited and it will be a complete hassle to get over there when they are open.

In conjunction I want to add it was during one of the most important events to happen in a life time..The purchase of my engagement ring ,with my fiance. I decided on this store initially for 2 reasons. 1 being that it is a small local business and I am a firm believer in supporting small businesses and keeping money in the community. Secondly they had a ring I fell in love with. So at my request against his better judgement my fiance agrees to purchase from Saslow's. The manager Shante is very unprofessional, rude and has made this experience less than ideal. Before the ring was paid off I went there to attempt to look at my ring and take pictures to share with family members etc. She said in a Rude manner I am not allowed to see my ring or even question about it due to fact I am not paying for it my fiance is. On top of that she is unorganized and doesn't update their system ans didn't show record of last two payments where we the customers,had to provide our receipts. As a manager, customer relations, professionalism ,and accountability is a must. I will say the actual salesperson who sold us the ring was pleasant and fun to work with (Rhonda).
