I fell in love with this store because they are so inclusive in many ways. However I’ve been a customer here for almost a year now and every time I go to pay there’s always an issue when it’s time to pay. The first few times I’ve brushed it off , no biggie don’t sweat it. But it’s something I can not overlook anymore.
Today I came into the store after taking a break for months because of the pain of using SNAP. It’s Valentines day so I was looking for chocolates that they sold last year that were very delicious. Heart shaped chocolates. Upon walking into the store I noticed the vibe was not checking out like it normally does , a lot of items they once had they no longer did , and there was not much a lot a Valentine’s Day display. No biggie kept shopping for other things. Found two items to purchase time to check out. As soon as I pulled out my card the cashier goes into a frenzy this look is so familiar because I get every single time. She has to call her manager who is on break and she can’t get into the system .. after about 5 minutes now the line is filling up , now I’m panicking and embarrassed because it’s my fault the line is backed up. I mention to her I’m sorry but this is why I stopped shopping here because it seems I’m the only one who uses this payment method and it causes drama every single time. Finally we get everything to work. And I walk out of there for the last time. This is a program that they advertise that they take however NO ONE knows how to use the system or they have to follow steps from a paper that was missing today. It’s very frustrating for me as a customer. And I only wrote this review because I went from shopping here weekly to none at all because of this very issue. And to have it happen again today was insane. Lovely people , lovely store but NOT SNAP friendly...
Read moreThis is our one and only plastic-free, one stop grocery store! As regulars we typically get our oils, legumes, some spices, maple syrup, and dried fruit from here but there's so much selection outside of that as well like cleaning supplies, bathroom necessities, yummy treats, coffee and local farm fresh produce and dairy. We even refilled our hand sanitizer here, which is nice because we can then refill our tiny travel-size sanitizers instead of buying new ones every time.
When you enter there's an easy system for you to weigh your own containers, after which you'll get a scanned barcode for that container that tells the register how much your container weighed before you filled it. If you're topping up, there's no need to empty your container at home because the weight will include what you came in with. So convenient!
If you don't have your own containers there are paper bags for free and I believe glass jars for purchase to package your items.
The store is elegant, clean, and logically organized. Friendly customer service is always there to help you if you can't find something or even if you wanted to suggest a new item.
Lastly, they have a reward system so you can earn points and discounts the...
