SUPERCUTS — Attraction in Montclair

I never write any reviews good or bad , but this one I had to share. I love going to super cuts for a haircut or blowdry . I’ve never been treated so rudely and disrespectful by a hair stylist until Sunday. I had an appointment at 12:15 pm for a blowdry. I ended up in the wrong location and called this super cuts store at 12:08pm to let them know I will be 10-15 minutes late. The lady on the phone said that it was okay no problem. I thought this was great and so I decided to drive the extra 10-15 minutes since the lady on the phone agreed and had no issue. I ended up arriving 13 minutes after. As soon as I walk inside the store, the lady with the short blue hair was at the front desk. I approached and said my name and that I called before coming. The lady responded saying that I was late and I have to wait because there are people waiting. I responded back politely that I was told on the phone it was okay and that’s why I drove here. She mentioned rudely that I was late. Again I told her well someone on the fine said it was okay. She then proceeds to ignore me , talking to another customer even though I am still standing there. She offered no other solutions or tried to help the situation. I told her next time they should not let someone know it is fine running a little late and instead tell them truthfully they would have to wait. I wouldn’t have made the drive there and could have found some other place. She again looking at me nasty said well don’t be late. I told her that someone maybe it was her, told me it was fine and to not do that again to anyone else. I have been going to Supercuts for years and know now to NEVER step into this one if that mean stylist is there. Be careful seems like she treats...

I just had an unpleasant experience at the Supercuts on Valley Rd in Montclair when I went to get my hair cut on 9/13/21. The hairstylist told me that she couldn't cut around the straps on my face mask and that I would have to hold the mask in place by hand. I told her I was fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and then I asked her if she was vaccinated. She said "No". When I asked her if there was a a reason she wasn't vaccinated her reply was "Is there a reason you are?". She was rude and rushed through cutting my hair. I doubt she spent even five minutes with me, even though there was no one else in the shop waiting. I didn't leave her much of a tip, but now I wish I left her no tip at all. People who work i hair salons should be vaccinated. The Supercuts on Valley Rd in Montclair is directly across the street from a CVS that offers FREE COVID-19 vaccines. There is no excuse for someone who deals with the public to not be vaccinated. People have been infected and died during the pandemic by visiting hair salons where the stylist was unvaccinated and spreading the disease to...

I went to this Supercuts location today for an 11:45 appointment. I arrived to find four people waiting (one with appointment, three walk-ins) and only one stylist. First, having only a single stylist working during the busy holiday season is not the best business move. Second, this Supercuts location should not have an online appointment booking system if they do not use it or respect it. The stylist working today, while nice enough, was not paying attention to the online system whatsoever. I waited patiently until 12:25 (waiting a total of 40 minutes), at which point only two people of four had been seen. The remaining two definitely did not have appointments, and yet the stylist said she would see them before me. This made absolutely no sense - why have an online booking system then? I left and went to the Belleville Ave location, where the staff were super friendly and there was no wait at all. I will absolutely not return to the Valley...
