The host/ waiter was trying to be accommodating when I returned with my takeout order. He shared my gripe with the cook about the soup tasting like sugared coconut mild containing only 3 pieces of shrimp and barely any vegetables. He took the soup back to the cook who just added a few pieces of mushroom and heated it up. The Thai salad that I was given was just an American salad with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. He insisted that is their version of a Thai salad. I insisted it was not what I used to experience as a Thai salad at other restaurants. He took it to the cook who added a bunch of watery bean sprouts and the water pooled at the bottom of the salad that spilled out in my car. I had asked for the bean sprouts but the cook just put them on top and they were seriously soaking wet. The lunch was totally bland. I ended up throwing it all away. I will not go back there again. The restaurant inside is pretty, but that doesn't make up for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got there just after they opened on a Sunday. No wait to be seated-there was one other couple there eating. After a few minutes we were ready to order. I ordered the curry puffs and spring rolls, tom yum and sweet and sour. A few minutes later, we were told no spring rolls. Iām thinking ok, I still got puffs, Iām good. Nope, few more mins went by, we are then told-no puffs. Got the crab Rangoon and dumplings to make up for it. Rangoon was fine, crab was good and was filled with just cheese but wasnāt great. Balance was off but it was fine. Dumplings were a miss for me, the shrimp gave it an off taste mixed with pork-tasted like dried shrimp. The soup was tasty but at $8 a bowl, they could have made it hearty. A few pieces of chicken and vegs. I would have even ordered a bigger bowl if available to compare. My husband enjoyed the sweet and sour, I thought it was fine. Overall, 3.8. Iād try one more time-curious about the puffs and spring rolls and a few...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe restaurant has a modern, clean ambiance, which set a nice tone for the meal.
We started with appetizers, and they definitely set the bar high. The papaya salad came in the biggest portion we've ever seen, and the flavors were on point. The Tom Yum soup was amazing, though we realized we shouldāve asked for it to be spicier to match our tastes. The curry puff was also really delicious and a standout dish.
However, we were a bit disappointed with the main course. After the impressive appetizers, we had higher expectations, but the main dishes didnāt quite live up to them. It threw us off a bit, as we had such a great start.
Overall, a mixed experience, but still worth...
