Ross Dress for Less — Attraction in Montebello

I don’t like leaving a negative review, but wow my experience here was absolutely awful and I hope no one has to go through what my mom and I went through. I went in for a return with my mom and the pregnant woman that works there was rude from the start, I believe her name was Jessica? I was honestly shocked by how disrespectful she was. I worked customer service before and I never once took my personal issues out on a customer or was rude to them. It’s NOT the CUSTOMERS FAULT that she has to work while pregnant, get it together or don’t work customer service at that point. I work with children and they have better manners. While we are doing the return, she’s inspecting the return, asking us if the hooks were taken out of a shower curtain (shower curtain that was never used or opened so everything is brand new) & it says on the shower curtain “no hooks included”, it was so embarrassing because she kept repeating it as if we took things out! & she didn’t want to read that it said no hooks included. I mean, She didn’t even want to read our receipt in the beginning to check which item was on two receipts since my mom didn’t have her glasses so I had to do her job since she was getting more disrespectful by the second. Then the manager comes to approve the return, my mom asks a question and they ignore her. By the end, the pregnant associate tells us “the receipt will come out” while pointing at the receipt machine. So, we, the customers, have to rip off the receipt from the machine ourselves.. when it’s literally part of her job to hand us the receipt?? lol Well, The only good customer service was the security guard; he was very kind and greeted us. After we went to Marshall’s and it was like night and day! The associates there were so incredibly helpful and sweet. ☺️❤️ I’m sure there’s some good employees that work here & are not like the ones that assisted us, but I’d rather not take my chances and visit a different Ross instead that has adults who know how to control...

Of all the nearby Ross Stores I have been to (North Montebello, Commerce Center, Pico Rivera, Puente Hills Mall, and Alhambra) this one is my go-to for almost everything I need/want. I know every time I come in I can find something for all the members of my family. My main stop for clothing, toys, home items, arts and crafts articles, and accessories. Like all Ross stores great deals abound inside. The parking is also plentiful with spots outside reserved especially for expectant mothers as well as benches right outside for those who wish to wait outside. If I had to pick out one thing I do not like it has to be the restroom situation; there is but one solitary facility, so if you and some of your fellow shoppers have to go you are in for a wait. So I read the return policy on line and I came down to return two car beds that MY cats refuse to use. The cashier processes my return then calls her shift supervisor and makes it a point to day I don’t have a receipt. Then they de y the return. I read the return policy, my return falls within the return policy. So, fine I tell her I used my card and I have the date of purchase since my no receipt is questionable, then they decided not to pull up my receipt. The shift supervisor tells me the cashier was being “nice enough” like wait what? Her job is customer services and she doesn’t have to be nice, just assist me with a return.
