First off, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I was making my rounds at the local furniture stores in search of a new sectional sofa for my folks. I ended up not purchasing from any of the places I visited because I felt that the sales reps were either too pushy or had a change in their attitude/demeanor when they wrongly assumed that I would be a non-purchasing customer. I gave the local Raymour & Flanigan at Montgomeryville a call just to check off all the boxes before coming to a decision. I was put in touch with a wonderful--and absolutely amazing--sales rep named Sherry. Sherry patiently answered all my questions, gave me an overview on the furniture industry regarding rising materials prices, and was just really kind throughout the call, which prompted a visit to the store right after the call. Not surprisingly, Sherry was even more kind and genuine in person. She asked thoughtful questions about my purchase and seemed to genuinely care about the customer than making a sale. I ended up purchasing a beautiful leather sectional from her and have already recommended her to a family friend that's in the hunt for a new sectional. Having worked in sales for the past 15 years, I can confidently say that this was one of the best sales experiences that I've ever had in my life. When you visit the Montgomeryville store, be sure to ask for Sherry!
Edit: My parents received the sofa and it's even more stunning in person. As long as it holds up to the test of time, it's yet another fantastic purchase from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had never been to the Montgomeryville, Pa store. There were many cars in the lot so we figured it would take forever to get waited on. As soon as we walked in the door the sales person, Sherry T., greeted us with a warm smile. We told her we were looking for a Lazy Boy recliner so she led us to an area dedicated just to recliners (which reduced a lot of walking which I loved). She answered all our questions and showed us a number of possible recliners. Once we settled on one, she brought us the fabric choices and helped us pick one out. Without asking, she reduced sale price of the recliner even further to help make up for the custom fabric up charge. She explained the benefits of their Platinum extended warranty which goes well beyond Lazy Boy's warranty so for $40 we took it. She stood with us throughout the purchasing process at the desk and even gave us a bottle of water. Before we left I asked for her supervisor so I could tell her how amazed we were with her "perfect service". She knew how lucky they were to have Sherry which we were glad to see. It was obvious that this was a very well managed store and a pleasure to do business with. At 70 years old, I have never experienced this level of service at any other furniture store. I highly recommend it. Keith...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDITED AFTER ISSUE RESOLUTION. I contacted the store manager regarding the situation and she clarified the miscommunication, resolved the issue and addressed my needs. She truly made me feel as though I was a valued customer. The way they reacted to the situation definitely reassures me that they are a great company.
Original review: The Sales guy was great for addressing my needs. However, two days later he called to tell me the delivery dates had been pushed out. Had I not confirmed - more than once - in the store that the dates were accurate, I would not have been upset. But being a single mom of a little one, I needed to coordinate removal of my existing living room furniture to prepare for the impending delivery. Now I have no furniture for the next 10 days. And thatās hoping itās not ādelayedā again. In speaking with him on the phone, I felt as though I was promised delivery dates just to lock the sale. I know things happen. But I emphasized the date was important and for that reason I feel taken advantage of. The storeroom is great. Welcoming, comfortable, well lit. Iām very disappointed in the integrity. Say what you mean, mean what you say. Itās possible I set my expectations on...
