Listen, if you want to buy something from Target, then you go to Target and buy it. They make it really easy to complete transactions. For example, if you brought some money with you, all you need to do to get some sweet new products is the following: 1) walk around the store noting everything that catches your eye, 2) once you’ve made your choices, pick it/them up and it/take them to a checkout line, 3) now here it gets a little tricky...you have to choose a line to get into. As you may know, if you pick the wrong line, you may have to wait quite a while here, so choose wisely, 4) once you get to the checkout person, they will ring up all your items and tell you how much you have to pay, 5) (we’re on the home stretch now!) pull some money out and hand it over. That’s all there is to it! Now all that’s left to do is to take your new goods home with you. Happy shopping!!!

I purchased a new tv to open it and turn it on to find out that the tv was so damaged and clearly was dropped by a employee or even they did not check and it was returned and no one checked it before putting it back on the sales floor. I worked for target last year in Connecticut and we would never let a customer who paid their hard own money and used a travel service like Uber to say we can only do $10 when I spent $40 on travel to go to your store and all I asked was to take $25 on the new tv but that was too much are you serious never in my life have I had an issue with this company and now I know I should be going and taking my money to Walmart instead!

This target is absolutely disgusting. All of the clothing departments look like a bomb went off. I swear there are more clothes on the ground than there are on the racks. And the dressing room…i don’t even know what to say about that. It’s so bad. Also, the guest services area is piled high with returns…always. The staff is not friendly or helpful there (i guess if i was working in those gross conditions i might be the same way!). The bathrooms are always nasty. I could go on and on but i will stop. I go out of my way to go to a different target. This one must have a management issue or something.

0/10; would not recommend--

What disappointment, absolute apallment, and overall exasperation is: While shopping in Montgomeryville Target, my sister and I were profiled as people needing close amd reproachful monitoring. My sister and I eagerly await the displays of the black owned brands and/or black designers that have recently made their way to being merchandised and sold in Target. We frequently shop, buy, and try on Kahlana Barfield Brown, as well as the other black designers that get featured/introduced in the store. As a sidenote, we often do our grocery and homegoods shopping here as well. So needless to say, I was astounded to find myself victim to feeling less than welcomed during this visit (01/06/23). My sister and I arrived at about 5:30pm, and after collecting a cart full of treasures, we proceeded to the fitting room which was unattended, but open. We enter the very first fitting room and try on our items; taking pictures to recall the fit/look of items needed to purchase online at a later date (due to the store lacking sizes needed for us). While we were in there for some time-- conversing and enjoying our sisterly bonding-- we were rudely and agressively interrupted with harsh knocking on door and abrasive inquiries. Startled and taken aback, I almost responded just as rudely as to whether her assistance would be better served elsewhere since she wasn't summoned. However, my sister spoke before I did and merely requested a size exchange for an item; which was not found. When my sister and I were finally finished trying on our items, we are greeted with an entire entourage of [4] employees, and a male who was identified by his jacket bearing "Security" upon it. He stood, with the other four employees at the fitting room entryway, merely glaring and standing as if to intimidate menancingly as my sister handed over the small pile of "rejects" and securing the over $500 worth of items we wound up purchasing, and squeezing past them all as they barracaded us exiting. Upon us squeezing past them all, security ran into the fitting room my sister and I had just left, scouring for what, is unbeknowest to me. However, his search was only that one room in particular, and nowhere else. The room two doors down from my sister and my room occupied by a toddler whose mother and father interchangeably entered and exited was not searched upon their completion of trying on items. This "security" also neglected to patrol or peruse the store. In fact, for the many visits to Target, I have never seen any patrol of any sort by security throughout the store, nor the fitting room. Thus, I was perplexed. I returned to the fitting room and noticed that only one employee was stationed there, and security was nowhere to be seen. I asked the attendent where the security was, and why it was deemed necessary to search the room after my sister and I had left it. I was informed that security always does so hourly. I informed her how odd that was considering the time was 7:20pm, so what hour is this security sweep conducted? And why only the one room that my sister and I had occupied? I requested to speak to and express my utter disgust and hurt with the manager. I met with Kyle, the manager on duty, and AmyLynn, the training lead. I also asked for the name of the security, and was told his name was Matt. While Kyle and AmyLynn expressed how they were sorry for this experiance my sister and I edured, it does not negate how horrid our trip turned out. My sister and I resentfully purchased our items for the sole factor of supporting black brands and designers, otherwise we would have been more than happy to not have purchased a blessed thing! I will say that I will happily drive 8.7miles (22mins) to the Plymouth Meeting store, than to return to Montgomeryville (3.4miles = 12mins) to ensure that they benefit from my sister and my patronage...

UPDATED REVIEW - So like a dumbass, I went to this target again. I saw they got new self-checkout registers, so I thought things would be better this time, but I was dead wrong. Got in line for the self-checkout about 8:30pm on a Thursday night. Waited in line for about 15 minutes until a register was free only to be greeted by a screen telling me contactless payments only, no cash. I wanted to pay with cash, so I asked the self-checkout attendant if she could help me out, but she said I would need to go to a staffed register. I'm super annoyed at this point but went and got in line at the one and only open staffed checkout. I stood there for about 10 minutes until the lady working the register looks up, sees me and starts waving her hand telling me she is closing after she wraps up her current customer. She said her shift is over and she is going home but that I could use the self-checkout. I thought about arguing with her that I was just at the self-checkout and was told to come to her from there, but figured I'd be wasting my breath cuz this lady obviously does not care. She just wants to go home. So, I just dropped my basket full of items and walked out.

Yes, I know I could've got back in line at the self-checkout and used a card. But at this point, I had been attempting to give Target money for almost 30 minutes and didn't feel like waiting in an even longer line now since everyone that was behind me in the staffed checkout had already run over to the self-checkout after overhearing the lady telling me she was closing her register. It should not be this difficult for me to give money to Target. Why they don't want money is beyond me. I can't blame the associates; they are only as good as their manager. So I blame the store manager. This is the second time I've posted on Google about a crappy experience with service at this Target location. Whomever the manager is obviously has done nothing to improve this store. He or She absolutely sucks at their job and should be fired. Get someone in there that actually knows what customer service is and can either clean house and get rid of underperforming employees or put them on performance improvement plans with some retraining in customer service. Also, fire whomever put in place the stupid policy about no cash at the self-checkout (I'm assuming that probably is the store manager as well).

ORINGAL REVIEW - This target sucks. They won’t accept cash or allow anyone to get cash back at the self checkouts. Normally this would not be a big deal but since they typically only have 1-2 cashiers working the manned checkouts, there is always a huge line for them. I only go to target if I need to pick up a few quick items, usually less than 5 items so I prefer to use the self checkout and leave the manned registers for people that have a larger order. I have the target red card and like to get a few dollars cash back to put in my church envelopes. I guess target hates Catholics because they punish me for wanting cash back by making wait in long lines at the manned registers to get it even though I’m only buying 2 or 3 items. I don’t have this issue at the Plymouth Meeting target, just this one in north wales. So at this point, I just stopped going to here but wanted to complain about it here to let people know how bad this...

I had the best experience at the target in Montgomeryville just now. I don't know where you found Crystal B. but she is all you need. Just an all around wonder addition to the team here I swore I wasmt coming back to this location after.a few months back I won't elaborate on that because today totally erased that experience. She is sweet, efficient and knows the job. She was busy doing something when my self checkout rung up my most favorite markers at regular price. These paint markers get pricey and I saw the sale online just didn't know how to make it happen. Ya gotta download the app she said joyfully, and walked me thru the process. I allowed people pasr me til I was don downloading. Wen I got back to her line it was 5 full carts deep, thankfully the next couple were busy counting, crystal saw everything and found a way to make it happen, politely as to not insult anyone else in line, wrung me u in 20 seconds start to finish. I have my super duper markers, and you have a very super duper employee there Target, treat her right and hire more just like here Best attitude you could ask fpr.in am employee. Joyful, jolly, pep, we'll tempt, uniform on correctly and super observation. I can totally picture her in a managerial role making more money sreading her.target cheer amongst the staff then you will have lots of her in all positions If not then that girl needs a raise. Im the worst customer, I wine im very impatient, she made all the disappear I was more busy being impressed knowing she had the answers This is getting long but I wanted to make my point clear. Ps if yOU like drawing or lettering you gotta try the new SHARPIE ,CREATIVE MARKERS. THERE GO ON like paint but they ate not is crrrrazy. And I didn't pay full price as Tarhets crystal made sure I got what I came for. Its the little things markers are my jam. Target you will promote her or pay her more, I have...
