What a gem of a tower overlooking mountains so close to town! While the stairs were a little icy, the view was stupendous of the mountains surrounding the area. It was an easy walk along the trail that many people were walking their dogs along and the tower itself was definitely a highlight. I normally hike several hundred feet up a mountain to get a similar view, this is a high-quality view that is accessible by many people.

Took a little while to find in the park as we drove too far but used Google maps to help find it. Pretty cool tower, views are ok, Ethan Allen Tower has better views. Good trails for walking, biking and dogs all around though.

Easy hike if you park at the corner of Hubbard Park Dr. and Parkside Dr. Just stay on the wide main path. See the photo for what the gate looks like. Lovely view and worth the hike.

Took a little while to find in the park as we drove too far but used Google maps to help find it. Pretty cool tower, views are ok, Ethan Allen Tower has better views. Good trails for walking, biking and dogs all around though.

About 70 steps to reach the top from the base, so not difficult at all for the average person. The nature views are amazing but one thing you won't see is downtown Montpelier. It's either obscured by the foliage or the spot itself isn't high enough to allow views of the downtown. The place seems well-maintained and there is a composting restroom at...
