Some towns have a small park to play in, for for sure Montpelier has several of those but it also has Hubbard Park. Because it is annexed to the town which is small to begin with, it is a central attraction for those living in Montpelier and the surround areas. At the center of the park is a tower that allows you to see amazing vistas of the surrounding mountains. Every season is different. There are picnic tables and facilities for grilling. There is road access but many people from the town just hike up. To get to the tower you have to park then hike, about 10 minutes is you are capable. I have trouble walking and use a cane and I made it in about 20 minutes. The air in Hubbard Park is so clean and refreshing. The trails are wide and cleared. It is an amazing place. Take your camera as there are many photo opportunities.

Got married at this beautiful local park. We go here often to enjoy the trails year round, which are VERY well maintained even in the winter months. Many different trail options to explore and bike paths as well. Great shelter areas for small get togethers and a good sized hill for sledding when the weather permits. In the summer months we enjoy using the hidden playground behind the soccer field.

Awesome park that feels like a forest. The Park Crew, All Together Now and volunteers (like us) put on the Enchanted Forest every year mid october, a magical walk in the woods with lit carved pumpkins, magical scenes, music, and an enchanted tale at the tower, for kids and grown ups alike. See you next year at the EF 2025!

Really nice hike with views of Montpelier, and the surrounding mountains. Not too long, fairly steep uphill hike, but the views are reward enough! Hike down to the State House on Saturday morning to reward your hungry hikers with a treat from the farmers market.

It's a nice place to come for a walk and dog friendly park.
