New Pathways is the best IOP program that I have been in. The other ones I went to were not really worried about their clients, unless you were one of their "favorites". At New Pathways, even during the group sessions they help each one of us recognize our triggers, teach us how to cope with emotions without using, and to prepare us for situations we may feel uncomfortable going into, so we make the right decisions. And then during one on one counseling, they help us dig deeper, and we can share stuff we initially aren't inclined to share during group time. And because of that, it helps us open up more. Kim is my counselor, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She truly cares about my recovery, and always makes sure I am doing the right thing. She makes sure I am attending meetings, and that I have a sponsor to go over my steps because she knows that is what will KEEP me clean and sober long after I am done (she will even ask what the meetings were about so she knows I really went, which isn't a bad thing, just shows how much they care here). Honestly, every employee in that building truly cares for our well being, and we are not just a paycheck for the place, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of the places I have been too. The place also has a gym we work out in everyday before our groups to get us into breaking the vicious cycle we were in, and to get the natural endorphins to be released through our body. And it works great. Joe is an excellent trainer, and he really knows what he is doing. Ever since I had the sit down with Lenny to be accepted, he had me sold, and he told no lies, this is an excellent program. I used to dread going to outpatient, but I actually look forward to the days I go here. New Pathways is giving me all the tools I will need to stay sober long after the program. Thanks to a dedicated staff that...
Read moreFrom the moment I spoke to John M. I knew this was the program my daughter needed to be in. John went above and beyond to meet with me and explain the Adolescent Day Program, since this was my first time dealing with anything like this.
The dedicated team at New Pathway are compassionate, knowledgeable and understanding. Especially her counselor Elisabeth M. She played an vital role in her recovery. She worked tirelessly with my daughter and our family. My daughter also loved the gym part of the day and especially enjoyed working with Angel, the trainer for boxing program.
They also provided family therapy sessions and a weekly family support group via Zoom in order to better understand the struggles of addiction in adolescents. To be honest, the family support group became an essential part of my week, the counselors all felt like family because they all genuinely cared.
As a mom, I can say I never thought I would be here (what mom does) but I’m so glad this is where she ended up. They were God sent and I am forever indebted to the team at New...
