Sorry this is going to be a long post!!
To all the women who are looking for a seamstress for any upcoming events. Beware of the seamstress Maraina from Miss to Mrs Bridal salon in Moorestown Main Street. . I DO NOT-recommend her and never will!! I had the worst experience with her and will never use her ever again!! Besides being highly over priced she is rude, disrespectful and delusional. I took my Mother of the Bride gown to her back in August for alterations. It needed quite a few alterations and I thought that would be enough time to have a couple of different fittings. My daughterâs wedding was yesterday Dec 1.
I have not heard from her the whole month of September or October. I called her October 18 she told me I have plenty of time she will call me. Come Nov 2 still not hear from her so I called her again and she said again I have plenty of time again. I said no I donât have plenty of time the wedding is a month away and I still had no fittings since the first I initial one back in August. She dismissed me and said donât worry. Two weeks has passed and still have not heard from her so I called again left message after message and no call back. I called the Bridal salon and they are the ones who recommended her to me. I filld them in on the situation and they said they will get a hold of her. So that evening I get a call from the seamstress saying to Me whatâs my problem calling her boss complaing!! I told her I havenât heard from her in months and the wedding is coming and still did not have any fittings. She said to me I have your profile up on the computer and she said and I quote âshe said I have all these numbers but donât know what there for!!! WHAT đĄ she then said I need to go find your gown. So right there she has never worked on my gown since she took it from me in August. She said I have been doing this for 35+ yrs experience and she knows what she doing!!. So another week has passed and I called again. We are in the week before Thanksgiving and no fitting or any communication from her. So I called the seamstress again and said I want to pick my dress up and Iâm going to another seamstress. She totally disregard my request and never brought the dress in. ( she works out of her house and uses Miss to Mrs store for her fittings) She said I just started working on it. She kept asking me did I loose weight, gain weight. I donât know thatâs her job to figure the out. I went in for a fitting she pinned everything up and it felt good. I could move bend over pull the gown up. I go back on Monday the week of the wedding. I tried it on I put my feet thru and couldnât get thru. She sewn the front and back lining together. So I pulled it apart. I put the gown on and it felt snug more then when she pinned it, but I was afraid to say anything cause itâs the week of the wedding and didnât have time to go back in for anymore fittings. Now comes the day of the wedding I put the dress on and OMG I couldnât bend over to pick anything up had to sit very carefully or the back of the gown would splits and when I had to go to the bathroom I had to take the dress completely off. I could not pull it up over my thighs. During the course of the night the underlying started falling off and I had to pin it up. The shoulder strapped ripped only holding together by a couple threads. The front decorative appliquĂ©s up on the top part of the gown which are gold they were fility and coming off. Like they were laying on a dirty floor. There was threads and netting coming out everywhere, that had to be cut off. I spent a lot of money on the gown and alterations. This should have been an exciting time for me but the total opposite. This was the worst experience ever, This literally made me sick to my stomach, It was emotionally upsetting and I was very angry. She was very rude and disrespectful to me. So this is why I came on here to inform everyone NOT to use this woman. I never disliked someone so much as I do...
Read moreOn May 17th, we visited the boutique based upon a recommendation. Within an hour I found a lovely Mother of the Groom dress. My measurements were taken at this time; the dress in store fit well but we wanted a darker color, which was available and was ordered. That ended the pleasant experience.
At the time of payment, I had to sign acknowledging there were absolutely no refunds due to canceled events, etc. That was understandable. However, the fact that they have no issues taking your money yet deal with dress makers that can't deliver dresses that fit and arrive in a reasonable amount of time indicates they do not care about what occurs after the purchase.
I was initially told the dress would arrive in August. I called mid-July for a status and was told it would not arrive until the end of September. This was unacceptable as the wedding is Oct 25th, and they said it would take time to make any alterations as their seamstress is only available on Wednesdays. I was told that the reason for the shipping delay was that the designer did not rush orders and the dress had to be made. Tailoring is also not included so be prepared to pay extra. The owner called about a week later and the status was updated to the end of August. The dress arrived the first week of September, and the first available appointment for a fitting was 9/17. At that time they realized the dress was defective, very large in areas, very long, buttons crooked, and seams placed incorrectly. The dress had to be sent back.
Although the new dress did arrive on October 1st, I was curious why it took months for the first arrival but only weeks for the second one. Over the summer I was initially told that the manufacturer doesn't rush orders and that it had to be made. On October 1st it was because of tariffs and their warehouse was now stocked. Don't expect any discount or apology as there won't be one.
I had to find my own person to alter the dress. The dress was very expensive and now needs to be shortened quite a bit (there are buttons down the back so I am worried) and taken in at the hips and legs (it is a mermaid style) which wasn't an issue with the one I tried on. They had my measurements and apparently this didnât matter much.
I do not recommend doing business with this boutique. It was a very unnecessarily stressful experience. I could have purchased a nice dress from an upscale store for half the price and with...

Judy, the owner has beautiful dresses in her shop. She is great at helping the bride pick her wedding dress. She is quick to tell you what parts of the dress can be altered to fit your body and style. She only recommends her seamstress, who works out of her shop. This is where I warn all women to avoid buying from Miss to Mrs.
The seamstress did a horrible job with my daughterâs wedding gown. My daughter lives in Boston. She relied on Judyâs schedule for alterations. Judy promised that she would have a second fitting on Friday and be able to take the dress back to Boston on Sunday. The dress was not ready on time, but Judy insisted that my daughter did not need a final fitting. Instead, we arranged for me to pick up the wedding gown and take it to Boston for the wedding. Unbeknownst to me, the length of the dress was too long, the neckline did not lie flat, the beaded belt was in the wrong place, and the bustle did not work! I had to shorten the wedding gown minutes before my daughter went down the aisle. I also had to create a functional bustle before the reception. As a result of the poor alterations, the wedding started late, we missed out on many scheduled photographs, and the bride was unable to attend her own cocktail hour. This is time, money, and experiences that can never be regained.
Judy has not taken any responsibility for the disaster that she caused by poorly scheduling fittings and encouraging a bride to take the dress from her shop without a final fitting. She has not taken responsibility for the very poor quality of alterations that came from her shop.
I do NOT recommend that anyone buy from this shop. Judy will not stand behind the final product. Judy does NOT deliver the experience that she sells. ...
