My mother and I got to Szechuan Garden at about 5:00pm. The place was virtually empty. However, the Asian male greeter was busy picking up phone orders, but he was welcoming. After we sat down, we ordered hot tea, General Tso shrimp, and a side of crab Rangoon. Minutes later the tea arrived. Right away, though, I noticed the tea was watery. Thus, I asked the greeter I wanted the tea stronger. To my surprise he replied that the tea needed "a few minutes to be ready!" I was totally surprised cause this is not the first hot tea I drink in my life! He quickly went back to his phone orders! I figured he didn't understand what I meant! So, I called him back again and asked him that I wanted my tea stronger! But he insisted otherwise! This time I insisted and said that our tea wasn't strong at all it looked like water! This time he took the tea to the kitchen in a hurry and came back with the same pot! I checked the tea again and it looked the same! So, I let go! In the mean time, he brought our crab Rangoon first and our General Tso's later in a bunch of sweet and sour sauce. He brought the silverware, as well, wrapped in white paper napkins. But, our fingers got really sticky pretty soon because of all the sauce! Since the greeter was still busy taking phone orders, I asked him for more napkins from our table and he brought just a couple more, as if we were at McDonald's! By this time I was really annoyed with the service! I called the guy again and said I wanted plenty of napkins, which he did this time! Unfortunately, everything was so sweet that my mother asked for more water to quench her thirst and the excessive sweetness! Needless to say, we're definitely not going back to Szechuan Garden! The greeter was inattentive and the food so overly sweet, I ended up feeling like throwing up! Very bad service! I wouldn't recommend Sezchuan...

Review:
Ordering from Szechuan Garden via Uber Eats was a delightful experience, highlighted by their exceptional General Tso’s Chicken and Crab Rangoon. The quality and flavor of the food made it clear that great dining doesn't have to happen at a restaurant.
The General Tso’s Chicken was a standout. It arrived crispy and was tossed in a perfectly balanced sweet and spicy sauce that enhanced each bite. Szechuan Garden managed to deliver restaurant-quality taste right to my doorstep, maintaining the integrity of their dishes beautifully.
The Crab Rangoon was no less impressive. Packed with a creamy, crab-filled center and encased in light, crispy wrappers, they were a hit. Despite the travel time, there was no compromise on freshness or texture, which is often a concern with delivery.
The entire delivery process was seamless from start to finish. The order arrived promptly, was well-packaged, and still piping hot, which speaks volumes about the efficiency of both Szechuan Garden and the Uber Eats service.
For anyone craving Chinese cuisine at home, Szechuan Garden is a fantastic option. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction shines through in their food. I’m looking forward to exploring more of...
Read moreFor more authentic Chinese and Szechuan dishes, this is one of the top places in the Triangle. There are many choices for authentic Chinese food in the Triangle now, compared to even a few years ago, as more and more Chinese people call Triangle home. Especially in the Cary / Morrisville area. This is one of the top 3. The dishes we had were all very good, and the service, although not overly friendly, is efficient. The squirrel fish, which is kind of a fried whole fish that had the bones removed with a kind of sweet sauce, is very good. The beef was also tender and just the right amount of "Q". The "dou mio" was fresh and we asked for it to be prepared without MSG and it was still very tasty. The seafood pot (casserole) had plenty of seafood in it. The fish with seaweed was fried fish with a touch of seaweed flavor. To me, that was somewhat a disappointment because the seaweed flavor was not strong enough and the fried fish was a little soggy. The West Lake soup was just OK. It was not flavorful enough but had the right texture. Overall, it was an excellent meal. The menu has pictures for the most...
