Great food, bad service. Came in at 8:00PM. They close at 9:00PM. They were not busy, they were not putting things away for the night.
Ordered half a beef shwarma, hummus and tabouli. My girlfriend ordered cold food off the line, and got her plate immediately.
I waited 10 minutes. No sign of anyone making the sandwich. I asked, very annoyed, presented my receipt, and was told that it is still being made (No one manning the grill in front of me, apparently this was some sort of joke). I waited another 10 minutes. Someone was at the grill. 8:25PM, my girlfriend had eaten her entire meal, and I still hadn't been served my half-sandwich. Restaurant has 5 people in it, not busy.
8:35PM, man at grill disappears, and no sign of sandwich. Having sat there for an entire 35 minutes hungry, I stand at the counter wanting someone to tell me what the hell was going on. After 3-4 minutes of waiting, a middle aged white woman comes out from the back doing some other activity, surprised to see me (i'm guessing night manager?) Acts surprised at my situation (even though she was the one who took my order originally), tells me that my sandwich was running "a little behind", and would be out shortly. Seemed not to be aware that 35 minutes is a long time to wait for half a sandwich. They had obviously tossed the order ticket before making the food, then left the dining room. I was hungry and angry at this point, and just wanted the food.
My sandwich arrived hot at 8:55PM in a To-Go container, and I left the Neomonde dining room completely pissed.
I love their food, I love their food, I love their food. I can not stand their service after lunch hours. How can anyone defend such bad service?
I openly admit to throwing the tray, plate, and bowl from my table straight into the trash as I left. I was pissed. If any of the employees remembers this...

Fantastic.
There is interior and exterior seating and a TV in the corner of the dining area. Serves wine.
My family did the Family Meal at $35. This is noted as serving 4. That's accurate. The meal comes with 6 kabobs (steak and chicken but you can substitute a lamb one for a $2 upcharge) with garnishing, choice of 2 sides, choice of salad, choice of rice, pita bread, and baklava.
Kabobs: We did all meats and all are moist tender, and tasty. Partial to the steak. Great. It came with some kind of garlic spread and this was awesome.
Sides ordered (about 12 to choose from): Tatziki and Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus. The Tatziki is good by itself. The Hummus goes great on your pita. Has some zip.
Salad ordered (3 to choose from): Fatoush. This was the dark horse of the meal. Very liberal with the tomato, radish, and onion. Crisp/fresh lettuce and just the perfect amount of vinegar zing.
Rice ordered (2 to choose from): Mediterranean. This was a fuller body rice and very good.
Pita: Wheat version and they give you plenty for 4 folks. Heavy and fulfilling.
Baklava: Both the pistachio and cinnamon versions were excellent. Perfectly sweet. Oftentimes I get this and it's over sweet. This was perfect. Please at least get this if nothing!
This was a damn good meal and the value is here for both portion and good quality.
The joint seemed to be a takeout haven as to the amount of people doing this. Lots of people were also coming in to purchase just pita and several left with bags upon bags of it.
Observation and appreciation: We arrived 5 minutes before opening. They saw us and opened the door for us to peruse the menu. Thank you.

Read moreI ordered two "Pick 4" cold items at a nearly empty store with four staff members standing around. One took my order on an iPad and asked me three times if it was to-go. Despite the minimal workload, they delayed my order while waiting on hot food for the only other customer.
When my order finally started, staff repeatedly scooped and dumped food back into bins, causing visible cross-contamination. Halfway through, the employee just walked away, leaving the containers open on the counter. Over the next 10 minutes, the remaining staff slowly and disjointedly added one or two items at a time—still never finishing the order.
Eventually, the cashier called out the wrong order number and gave my food to another customer. That customer opened the containers and left the store. Minutes later, the cashier chased them into the parking lot, took the food back from their car, and tried to give it to me—claiming it hadn’t been touched. I declined, pointing out this is a clear health code violation.
When I asked for a refund, the staff struggled for another 10+ minutes and gave me a receipt showing $0.00 refunded—repeating the failed refund process four more times. After 30 minutes total, I gave up and had to dispute the charge with Amex.
Aside from being disorganized, the store violated food safety rules, offered me returned food from someone else's car, and couldn’t process a simple refund. Completely...
