A small charge to keep this place going is well worth the money spent. Play around with the virtual reality headset, see more trolls, and learn about the history of Wisconsin. This place has some very unique pieces you won't find elsewhere. A menagerie of different artwork, it's truly one if a kind. I was disappointed to see Little Norway was no more, but this has many of their pieces. A must see when you're in the area, please stop in to keep this around for future generations. It is an interactive museum, art gallery, and gift shop, the likes of which you won't find elsewhere.

A great snapshot of the community, with objects and displays about daily life, the local economy, the geology and culture of the area, and some whimsy and art. The admission fee was a modest $10 for adults with some discounts (though I’d love to see a teacher and/or high school/college student discount). Very professional exhibit design but local flavor remains strong.

This is one of my favorite places to visit. When I’m in town or passing by, I bring my family & friends here or I stop to shop! The museum is informative and the staff are polite. Highly recommend as a frequent visitor. Also, I recommend becoming a member because they have all sorts of cool lectures!

We stopped by the Driftless Historium on a whim while we were in the area, and I am SO GLAD we did! The museum was interesting and well curated, the gift shop had some genuine art, and the staff was informative and enthusiastic without being over-the-top.

The charge for the exhibits was more than reasonable; the displays were amazingly well maintained and fascinating. There was even a scavenger hunt!

For those of you seeking a thrill, we visited when the museum was not busy, so the whole place had a delightfully eery liminal vine. The Morse code machine started sending out messages to itself (but stopped when we came close). My children swear they saw a ghost. See? Something...

Very nice small town Museum, recently reopened and expanded. Includes a virtual reality tour of the now shuttered tourist destination, Little Norway, as well as a research library and multiple exhibit spaces. Though the space is small the curatorial work is of the highest professional caliber. Just outside the museum and just off of the Military Ridge trail there is a thoughtful little bike repair station with water fountains for human and canine and a selection of bike repair tools on cables to change a tire or replace a...
