The Viking Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Mount Horeb

I don't think I have ever in my years of doing reviews gave a 5 star review for bar food. This place definitely deserves it! It was the best service I had on my little family vacation. I came with two 12 year old girls. We had lunch here. The bartender/server was seriously AMAZING! I don't remember her name but she was younger and had blonde hair. She was more than accommodating and even made the girls cute little virgin drinks with a sword FULL of cherries! The girls loved this small little touch and felt very "fancy" lol. The food was also amazing! Best we had on our whole stay! Better than what we had down the road (grumpy troll) (was horrible and expensive) the prices here were more than fair. Our food was super fresh, hot, and the wait time was not bad at all. So in short thank you so much! We had an absolute great time at this establishment and will return if we come back to the area to see more sites....

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and, of course, a cold beverage. WOW, what an awesome surprise. The menu offered many things and we were going to order chicken wings and a burger. While viewing the menu, we saw some awesome looking tacos come out to the couple next to us. We ordered the wings and some tacos. (I still want to go back for a burger). We figured with the wings, we would only order 4 tacos. Well, we probably should have just ordered the tacos. VERY generous portions. We ate a couple wings each and took some home. Great tasting tacos and I highly recommend you go try them. Now for the wings, huge basket of wings with a choice of sauces. We got the Kentucky bourbon and they are delicious. This is now our favorite place in Mt. Horeb. Thanks Trae and Brooke for a memorable lunch....

I had the wings which were slightly overcooked but still edible (it was the busiest Ive ever seen that place so its understandable) but my buddy had the Philly which was barely admissible as a Philly due to lack of meat. Im from Chicago and we take our sandwiches seriously. A Philly should be piled high with meat, not mostly bread with a little meat! However they have Pseudo Sue beer on tap which gives them a star in my book since Ive never seen it on tap and its my favorite beer. Like the ambiance and a working second level! Took away the pool table (bummer) but kept most of the good staff from Mainstreet so props to that. Overall good bar but they have new owners, so it still needs some tweaking in the kitchen to...
