Bergey Jewelry made our family Christmas unbelievably special this year! My parents have been married for over 32 years. A few years back, my mom lost her center stone in her engagement ring. As dairy farmers, raising a family and dealing with the unfair milk prices in recent years, her ring was put on the back burner. This year, my Dad wanted to surprise her with her ring, fixed with new prongs and a new center stone. He decided he wanted to do this the week before Christmas... :) Being on a time crunch, I called the original jewelry store where he purchased the ring. I told them the story and was basically told it wasn't possible to get it by Christmas. That store really did not seem interested in helping, and didn't care about the story behind the ring. After looking for another local store (my Dad is a big believer in shopping local, small family businesses), we found Bergey Jewelry. WOW-Julie was SO SO good to us. I told her the story, and how he really wanted to surprise my Mom on Christmas with the new ring. She said they would love to make it happen, and literally had the ring ready for pickup in two days, and we didn't need to pay an outrageous rush fee. Not only that-my Dad was able to DOUBLE the size of her original diamond because of their fair pricing. We were just floored at how beautiful the ring turned out, and needless to say, there was not a dry eye in the house when my Mom opened it. She was so surprised and so pleased with the ring. It was so special to see. I can't thank Julie and Bergey Jewelry enough for everything they did. A great family store that really cares about their customers. I have been a customer for many years and have yet to be disappointed. My husband gave me a ring over 23 years ago that needed a refinish. Instead of a typical refinish, the jeweler recommended turning the ring into a pair of earrings. What a wonderful decision! I can now keep the old engagement ring with me and wear my wedding set too. I love Bergey Jewelry! They have a great selection of both fine jewelry and fun, affordable everyday pieces. I just purchased a fun Badger watch there. I have also had earrings repaired and found other beautiul pieces of jewelry. The customer service is top notch. The owner, Julie, goes out of her way to help in any way possible.
