Recently relocated to Mt. Pleasant and needed to get some Christmas stockings embroidered, was recommended by a few of my fellow neighbors. I don't typically write reviews, but I am sincerely offput and taken back by my overall unpleasant experience.
When I placed an order to have 4 stockings embroidered I was only instructed to pick out a font. Size was NEVER discussed, and I even had a conversation that I wanted the names to appear large enough to be seen from across the room. Unfortuantely, when I went to pick up the stockings I was dissatified with the overall size of the names embroidered. The names on the stockings were approximately 1 inch in size. I expressed my concern that the names were smaller than I anticipated (to the owner I believe) and she immediately became defensive.
I asked to see other stockings for reference and when presented with a stocking that was printed with a larger embroidered name, I was told that the names on my stockings were too long and could not be written larger. Keep in mind...one name was Jessica, not a very large name at all.
The employee (possible owner) could tell that I was not satsified with the overall look of the embroidered names, but instead of being attentive and compassionate, her demeanor immediately became unprofessional as I questioned if the names could have been embroidered larger. She stated that she has been doing this work for 15 years and that is just "how the machine works" and if she would need to redo them they would only be a tad larger and would potentially ruin the stockings.
At this point, I was disappointed and figured I would just deal with the stockings as is and take the $50 loss instead of having my stockings potentially ruined by an employee that had zero regard for my overall concern. I will most definitely not be returning and caution you to ensure the font and SIZE of the embroidery being done on your item before placing your order, as they do not offer assistance to help ensure that their customers are overal satisfied...
Read moreWhere to begin? I took a shirt in for monogramming and showed a picture of exactly when I wanted. When I picked the shirt up, it was not centered as I asked. I noticed that the small "j" was dotted but not the small "i". In addition, you could see the white of the shirt through the blue thread which indicates that not enough thread was used consistently across the monogramming. When I expressed these issues, the staff was rude and blamed me for the issues. (I didn't make the rules of punctuation and grammar so I am not clear how it is my fault?) I was told if they took it out and re-did it, you would see the mess, and the back side was a huge mess. When I got home and put the shirt on, it became clear that not only was the monogram not centered as I had asked, it was on the back side of the cuff, meaning nobody would see it, and was centered even worse then we thought. I reached out and told them that the shirt was ruined and asked that they consider replacing the shirt, they are free to keep the shirt. No response. I am not sure how they stay in business as, their attitudes are as bad as the product...
Read moreEmbroidered a logo on some beach towels for a hostess/host gift. They did a wonderful job and the towels came out really well even given the difficulty (variety and gradation of colors) of the logo! The hostess and host loved the gift and the towels were quickly designated as the "special" towels! Mitch at An Initial Impression was very responsive and communicative throughout the process. He discussed other options for what I wanted, even beyond embroidery, too. Costs were explained well and I was given reasonable expectations for timing-which they then exceeded! Definitely can, and do, recommend An Initial Impression for your...
