Castle Shannon Shop 'n Save — Attraction in Mt. Lebanon

They will gouge you on prices. I've (more often than not) seen things at Whole Foods and Market District priced similarly or cheaper.

The things they actually keep do keep in stock are often well past their expiration and I've gotten home to realize that what I bought is a week or so past it's sell/best by date several times. Maybe that last one is my fault, but I should really just be able to pick up some meat without having to check its expiration date, it's kind of their job to rotate stock.

They have also left out a lot of items that have been recalled with no sort of notice whatsoever that something has been recalled such as certain deli meats and a variety of produce.

So if you place any value in your family's health or would rather not gamble on bringing overpriced and rancid food home, I would just shop elsewhere. They clearly don't hire/pay the people they hire to care enough about anything like that.

Though I will say that Kevin's Pharmacy has been very good to me over the years, they've seemed to start slipping a bit the past year or so (e.g. not filling my prescription even after s few days of it getting sent over), but overall a good pharmacy with people who know you and...

I shop here all the time and really like this store but this past weekend I was very disappointed. I went to purchase some frozen vegetables and noticed that a few of the freezer doors were blocked off with cones and some rope so I figured something was not working with that particular section of the freezer but the vegetables I always purchase were in a different section. However, when I grabbed a bag of vegetables I could feel that it was completely thawed so apparently there was an issue with this section of the freezer as well. Needless to say I did not purchase those vegetables! I returned to the store yesterday hoping they replenished the thawed vegetables with new inventory but much to my dismay, the vegetables were left as is and were frozen over! When I picked up the bag I could tell immediately that it had been thawed and then frozen over. You could not feel the individual frozen vegetables inside the bag - instead it was a frozen block of ice! I went to the front counter and the employee said he would inform the manager. I have not been back to the store yet to see if anything had been done and if those vegetables have been replenished but the whole experience was...

Went to Shop N Save today with my mom to pick up a few things and found what we needed to find and everything was easily located. The only problem we had was up at the register, the vibe there was just off. Got in the check out line with one person in front of us and then there was a lady in front of that person having issues with her coupons and she couldn’t buy the thing she wanted to get and it took the cashier 10 minutes by the time she finished up with this lady and she had to call a supervisor over to help and then it finally got to our turn and everything was going smoothly until my mom handed the cashier a check and it wouldn’t run through the machine so the cashier had to call the supervisor over again and the supervisor was very rude and disrespectful towards the cashier and the cashier should not be treated the way this one cashier was treated. Especially in front of paying customers. It seems like any time I’m at this Shop n Save, the employees just seem miserable and not happy to be working.
