China Wok — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

We used to order from this location all the time earlier in the year. We hadn’t for a few months due to it not being in our budget. We were excited to get it again because we always remembered the food here being really good and higher quality too compared to other Chinese take out places. We got our food and the quality was so bad. The teriyaki chicken on a stick was inedible. Super rubbery and had no flavor, tasted like they just boiled the chicken and did nothing else to it. The lo-mien was mushy and just super greasy, and my fiancés beef with broccoli was just swimming in this brown water that also didn’t really have any flavor. We have no idea what has happened in the few months we haven’t gotten from here, but whatever it was has absolutely downgraded the place and its food. For the money you pay here, it’s not worth it anymore. We didn’t enjoy any of our food that night, looks like it’s time for us to find a new go-to for our Chinese because this place isn’t the same quality wise anymore....

Normally I don't have to leave a bad review ever since I have been coming here but I will say they used to be good and now they have fell off. Sometimes it's good but lately it's been a hit and miss and today was a big miss. Food is trash the end!!! Oh!!! and the service too. I'm pretty sure the lady behind the counter is the mom to the daughter yelling. Food cost too much today to not get for what you pay for the right the first time. So there are too many other real Chinese spots that never give you a problem like Taste of China on Northfield. Or better yet go to a real spot sometime. Going to P.f Chang's is worth it Jasmines is good too!!!💯 Food today was truly nasty. Bottom line, I was better off going into Krogers and buying some groceries to cook. Which I started to do but was too tired and that is my fault!!! It won't happen again!!! 💯 I was Very disappointed!!! I will not be back!!! They need to go ahead and close down. Just placed an order for my wife to pickup since I’m extremely sick. We ordered sesame chicken , general tso chicken and hot and sour soup- the kids and wife shared the meals and I got the soup.

I’ll start by saying the chicken was absolutely inedible, chewy and overcooked. It was basically a hollow shell with little, to no chicken. My wife made me try a piece to attest to the bad quality of food. It was disgusting and I spit it out. I was livid since both meals were cooked the same. And not to mention it was $30.

I avoid confrontation but I couldn’t let this slide. We call up there and they argue with us for 5 min. I was extremely baffled with the lack of customer service.

** End result- we (my wife) has to bring the chicken up there and show them. Absolutely absurd!! I work my butt off to provide for our family so I had to make this public.
