I attempted to call this store and got no answer and couldn't leave a vm msg but there were no instructions given. I went to the website, no info there either regarding a cut off to order food.
I go to the location Tuesday morning before the holiday and was waited on by Connie. I heard her mention to the lady ahead of me that she needed a reservation, she left.
I asked if I could purchase a half pound of sliced ham, not knowing that you'd need to do anything special considering there was no sign in the window with instructions, and no voicemail recording with instructions.
Wanda repeated to me (like the lady before me) you need a reservation. So, I camly asked why? (because this makes no logical sense to me) I'm not trying to purchase a whole or half ham, I only want slices...
Connie proceeded to get really excited. Pulled off her mask and repeated while raising her voice: YOU NEED A RESERVATION! RESERVATIONS ENDED BY THE 19TH!
Of course, I'm offended by her tone and action, so, I ask why are you getting aggressive and why'd you remove your mask?
She responds "because you didn't hear me." I said I heard you fine. You simply didn't answer my question about slices.
I asked if there was a card for the store available (looking for the managers info) she shows further irritation and hands me a reservation card with no info aside from the store #.
I requested her name? She responds "Ma'am, have I done something to you?"
I said are you the manager? She hesitates to answer and finally says yes.
I respond, thank you and left the store. The exchange seemed to take 30 minutes but was only about 5 mintues. However, it was extremely aggravating! You are a ham store! WHY would I or anyone else for that matter know that you can't buy HAM SLICES from your business THREE days before a holiday at 10:30am?!
Honey Baked Ham Co., and CONNIE - by CLEARLY COMMUNICATING this message in writing on your website, on your voicemail and in you store windows it would prevent this issue!
But let me further explain how you blew it! Everyone isn't having a BIG FAMILY BLOWOUT, to feed 10+ people!
There are people struggling, simply trying to get thru the holidays with NO FAMILY and may only want a freekin' HAM SANDWICH!
Who knew ALL YOUR HAM/TURKEY IS RESERVED A WEEK BEFORE THE HOLIDAY FOR FAMILY PORTIONS ONLY?!
And let me further add, storage isn't an excuse! Try RESERVING a reefer unit for these occasions and you would be able to serve HAM up to the day you close! Cracker Barrel learned this lesson yrs ago, you should try it, IT WORKS, ask them!
This isn't...
Read moreI simply ordered 2 sandwiches & 2 drinks via Door Dash. What I received was 1 sandwich & 3 drinks - when I called to try & reconcile, simply hoping for another sandwich to be delivered, the girl was beyond rude. I simply told her what I ordered & what I received, expecting at least an apology. She said in a snarky manner "Oh we're out of that, so that's why you didn't get it" I replied, "Well that would have been nice to know before I ordered, as I have 2 hungry people here, so how do you propose we fix it? " To which she barked back, as if I were bothering her, "well we refunded it". "How does that that solve the fact that we're hungry?" She even more rudly repeated, "We already refunded it. " Seriously? I would have paid again just to get some food... turns out I DID, but WITHOUT the food. Looking at my bank statement prompted me to write this review rather than blow it off as I was going to. Turns out, it was NOT refunded, in fact I was charged AGAIN for the missing sandwich. So for $51.82 I got 1 sandwich we had to split & 3 drinks, one of which was not asked for & a whole lot of hungry! Did this place get new owner's? The original ones would go above & beyond for their customers. This was severely unexpected. Nothing is worth being treated that way, much less...
Read moreI tried to use a Groupon that I had purchased and was told that they would not honor it for what I needed. The Groupon was for $100 towards Catering and Party Platters. When you click on the "Catering" tab on their website, it says "Boxed Lunch, Platters & Trays or Buffet Salads." I was ordering 11 boxed lunches for a meeting later that day and was told that I could only use it towards a platter. The manager was very dismissive and wanted to blame Groupon for their wording. She told me that they've had multiple people upset over the same stipulation. Why then are they continuing to have them issued knowing that they aren't going to honor them?? She offered nothing to help the situation other than to allow me to order a platter instead...and to add insult, a platter would require a 24hr notice. How is offering me a platter tomorrow going to help me with my lunch that I have to order today?? Luckily, I called Groupon and was able to get a refund for the voucher that I had purchased. Kudos to Groupon and to Just Love Coffee who provided our boxed lunches. It's not that hard to do the right thing. Disappointed in your lack of...
