Bottlecap Alley Icehouse Grill
In my regular visits to restaurants in and around Nacogdoches Bottlecap Alley was enjoyed. Located on North St. with ample parking this place was a treat. A diversified menu with a tasty and delicious selection of Salads, Burgers, Sandwiches and many other nourishing plates; and at very reasonable cost.
The restaurant is clean and has a large bar if you just desire a drink. Service was quick, attentive, and all questions were quickly and professionally responded to. Bri was on top of it all, kept our drinks refilled and was so very pleasant. The type of server you would want working in you business.
The food is tasty and, for me, ranked above most lunch places that are also good. At Bottlecap Alley they are doing that little extra in the kitchen that produces food that gets the attention of your taste buds.
My lunch partner enjoyed the Cod Fish N’ Chips. Hand Breaded COD, that is served with fries, coleslaw, and tartar. Very enjoyable. You may ask for a fries substitute Portion is a nice size.
My selection was the “Kali-Fornie” Grilled Chicken. Served on a bun with Swiss Cheese, Avocado ( sliced ), Bacon, Tomato, and Whitewash ( Mayo ). This was one of my best lunches in a long time. No sides comes with this selection.
It should be noted at the present time all Burgers and Sandwiches are at 40% off the already reasonable price. A pretty good savings for some very good tasty food.
In addition for Staters we ordered the Triple Play Chips with all three selections; the Queso, Salsa, and the Guacamole. The Guacamole stood out to me as the best follow by the Salsa. Queso could have been a little more spicy; minor suggestion.
Music being played is a bit over the volume that is kind to my ears. However not too loud that normal conversation with your lunch partner can not be understood.
The restaurant rises to a level of food selection, taste and flavor, along with attentive, caring, and professional service to give a a full Five Stars in my book.

Read moreBottlecap Alley Icehouse truly is a hidden treasure waiting to be found in our bustling town. As you step in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a cool place to watch the game, too. The staff? They're like old pals, always ready to make your visit memorable. Couldn't ask for a better staff.
Now, let's talk about the food. Ah, the food! You wouldn't believe the flavors they whip up in that kitchen. I had the turkey burger, and wow! It's like a flavor explosion that dances on your taste buds. Wife had the chicken sandwich and she said it was way better than Chik-fil-A.
Here's the kicker though, folks – the prices. I mean, you'd think a place this awesome would have you breakin' the bank, right? Well, think again. A lunch at Bottlecap Alley Icehouse sets you back less than what you'd drop at that fast-food joint down the street – yeah, I'm talkin' about Micky D's, Whataburger or the Chicken place. My meal was 7.99 on the lunch menu. You cant hardly get McDonald's for that anymore! And let me tell ya, the quality here? It's on a whole other level, fresh and just plain GOOD. They also have a drive thru, so we won't be doing the typical fast food with their bloated prices anymore!
So there you have it, my friends. Bottlecap Alley Icehouse is the real deal. Great food, cozy vibes, friendly faces, good beer, and did I mention the prices? You owe it to yourself to swing by and experience it firsthand. This place ain't no secret – it's a treasure waiting to...
Read moreWe ordered two burgers, a chili cheese tot and regular french fries. The french fries were hand cut and super crispy which was great especially cause sometimes hand cut fries become limp. The chili cheese tots has a spicy queso and tasted like homemade chili and were also delicious. We had the cure burger and the patty melt. Both were good, the patty melt had a little too many onions since they put them on both the top and bottom part of the burger, and they could have stood to be cooked a bit longer as they were in between raw and sauteed, but the flavor was there. I think having to order at the counter, and to have a server who basically just brings your food and maybe a drink if you don't pick it up from the counter is slightly confusing on where to tip and how much considering the servers make less than minimum wage. My suggestion would be for dine in guest to be handed the erasable menus at the tables and have the server turn the orders in along with the drinks but also have the counter option for to go's. They do have a drive through which i imagine could get backed up once they start getting busy, but the food seemed to come out pretty quickly, so maybe not, still a nice option. Today was their opening day, so i'm sure they have kinks to work out, but the overall experience was good and the food was good which is why i rated...
