Swell Ceramics — Attraction in Nags Head

I absolutely LOVE Swell Ceramics pottery, especially the bioluminescent series! The design looks just like real bioluminescent seafoam—so unique! I’ve had my favorite mug for years, and despite being clumsy, it’s held up amazingly well because it’s quite durable. The shop is small, but it has a great selection of pottery, and one of the coolest parts is that you can watch the artist at work while you shop. Oh, and there’s a super cute dog in the back! She stays in her own little gated area, away from shoppers, but she definitely adds to the charm of the place.
